I tried Slurpit.io today to discover the network I created with #netlab using #containerlab as the provider. I was surprised at how quickly I could spin up (docker containers) the Slurpit.io components using the instructions available in their Installation manual. It took me a max of 20 min to bring up the docker containers and discover the network I created earlier. I had to do a couple of changes to the docker-compose file - the env var TZ and point the "networks" to the external network that I used for my #netlab network. The discovery was done for Arista devices. I have some cumulus devices also in my network topology, however I didn't see a discovery plugin for that. Well, the actual point is the speed at which you can deploy and discover the network. #netlab #Containerlab #Slurpit.io #NetworkDiscovery

New Open Source project Building TextFSM templates can be fun and challenging at the same time. Last year at Autocon I (Pieter van Os) discussed with Alex Gittings how useful it is to have a TextFSM editor when building templates. This let to a side project we worked on with a group engineers (Scott Gillespie) for the last year.
