This week, Stolt-Nielsen's Chairman Niels G. Stolt-Nielsen and CEO Dr. Udo Lange Lange joined our President Guy Bessant in Taiwan at our newest terminal, Stolthaven Revivegen Kaohsiung Terminal Co., Ltd. (SHRVK), a JV with Revivegen Co. Ltd. Our special guests were there to see the construction progress and greet officers and crew of Stolt Efficiency, which berthed at Kaohsiung Intercontinental Container Terminal Phase II jetty, which will service our terminal in future. While in Kaohsiung, the Stolt-Nielsen leadership team also met with Mr. Chang, Vice President of Kaohsiung Port Authority, for a tour of the port, and visited Stolt Tank Container's cleaning depot which has been in operation since 1990. SHRVK's warehouse facility opened for business in March and our storage facility will be operational next year, with an initial storage capacity of 61,200m3. Located in Kaohsiung Port, the terminal is perfectly positioned to support all our local and global customers who have business in Taiwan and across the Asia Pacific region with specialist warehouse and distribution services. The terminal also connects Taiwan to our broad customer base and the integrated ship-to-shore services we can provide in collaboration with our sister companies Stolt Tankers and Stolt Tank Containers. The team at Stolthaven Westport held an event earlier this month to celebrate the official opening of its new Terminal 2 (T2), which will offer customers enhanced efficiency and an additional 68,600m3 storage capacity. The project has been a collaborative effort between multiple partners, including the local and federal authorities, Port Klang Authority (PKA), represented on the day by Mr. Sri Muhunan, and WESTPORTS Malaysia Sdn Bhd, represented by Mr. Nanthakumar. The opening ceremony as an opportunity to give special thanks and present our partners with a commemorative plaque in honour of their invaluable contributions.   In his speech, President of Stolthaven Terminals, Guy Bessant, also thanked the Stolthaven Westport management team led by Mr. KC Goh and organising committee, led by Nicholas Lim, as well as our joint-venture partners, Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad (KLK). We were honoured to have KLK Chairman Tan Sri Dato' Seri Lee Oi Hian and Chief Operating Officer Lee Jia Zhang in attendance on the day. As Chair of the EPCA Supply Chain Programme Committee (SCPC), Guy Bessant was pleased to open the logistics session this week at the EPCA's 58th Annual Meeting: The Power of Action. With this highly relevant theme in mind, he highlighted in his introduction that we live in a volatile and uncertain world due to ongoing geo-political, macro-economic and environmental challenges. "The frequency and magnitude of events shows no sign of abatement, be it the ongoing situation in the Red Sea, major weather events such as the two latest hurricanes in the US or the ILA strike at US East and Gulf Coast ports," he said. "As an industry, we are facing constant pressures and in Europe, the challenge is potentially one of the greatest we have faced. We can either sit back and take a fatalistic approach or embrace uncertainty and be proactive. The latter requires us, as an industry, to work together and become more flexible and agile. This will involve of mix of different tools, from technology, innovation and new operating models to our people and a more collaborative 'ecosystem' approach." This is very much at the heart of what the SCPC is striving for, and it also aligns with our focus at Stolt-Nielsen Limited, where Guy is President of the company's bulk liquid storage business, Stolthaven Terminals. Stolt-Nielsen APAC team meeting and tour of Stolthaven Westport     Last week, representatives from across Stolt-Nielsen's many business units and functions within the Asia Pacific region met in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for an inspiring week engaging in discussions about strategy, sharing innovative ideas, and learning from local and global best practices.     During the conference, the team had the privilege of a visit to our joint-venture terminal in Westport, where we have recently added new capacity, and an additional jetty is currently under construction. We are delighted to celebrate the 25-year anniversary of our joint-venture Jeong-IL Stolthaven Terminal (JSTT), in the Port of Ulsan, South Korea! Together with Mr Lee, our partner of 25 years, we have built a thriving terminal which is now the largest bulk-liquid storage facility in the Ulsan/Onsan industrial complex.
