Strohm
Pijpleidingentransport
Strohm is the world’s first and leading manufacturer of Thermoplastic Composite Pipe.
Over ons
Leading composite pipe technology company Strohm has the world’s largest track-record for Thermoplastic Composite Pipe (TCP) after being the first to bring the technology to the conventional energy industry in 2007. TCP reduces total installed and life cycle cost for subsea flowlines, jumpers and risers and has proven to reduce the CO2 footprint of pipeline infrastructures by more than 50%. The company is committed to driving sustainability with its range of TCP solutions which enable clients towards their net-zero carbon emissions targets and supports the renewables sector. TCP is a strong, non-corrosive, spoolable, lightweight technology which is delivered in long lengths, resulting in a significant reduction of transportation and installation costs. TCP is installed using small vessels or subsea pallets, significantly reducing CO2 emissions. It is also 100% recyclable.

Training for success and reducing costs This week we have been conducting FSG Technician level 2 training for our partners. Under the careful management of our Pipe Completions team the training focuses on the preparing the pipe for the End-Fitting installation utilizing our specialist mobile equipment. On our larger Jumpers on Demand projects where we are responsible for the spooling off of the TCP from the delivery reel our OEM Supplier for the powered under roller systems are mobilized to operate and ensure reliability of the system. With our partner Motive Offshore Group Ltd technicians now being trained to the highest levels, it allows the personnel stay onsite and transfer into the termination teams once spooling operations are completed, therefore saving mobilization costs and ensuring continuity and flexibility in our team manning. Want to know more about our training, our Jumpers on Demand then please reach out #FSG #TRAINING #JOD

Carbon capture and storage (#CCS) is going to play an important role in the transition to net zero. However, its adoption will not be without challenges before reaching a significant scale. Join Strohm's CEO Martin Van Onna on the conference stage at Offshore Energy 2024 on Tuesday, 26th November, at 14:00! He will discuss the challenges and opportunities in CCS with experts from EBN B.V., North Sea Transition Authority, and ONE-Dyas, in a panel chaired by Paul de Leeuw. Our thermoplastic composite pipe (#TCP) offers a completely non-corrosive transport solution for CCS, with a 30-year design life and a proven smaller carbon footprint compared to steel. #OEEC2024 #EnergyTransition #CCUS #SustainableFuture #OffshoreEnergy2024

We're excited to announce our yard expansion project is underway! The yard is doubling in size to approximately 3,000 sqm, allowing for additional space for pipe completion activities and reel storage. The project will also allow Strohm to extrude either the liner or fully coated Thermoplastic Composite Pipe (#TCP) directly to a reel, without having to use a carousel, improving operational efficiency and increasing production capacity. Strohm's headcount has increased by 25% in the last 12 months and the expansion project will also extend the parking space and include temporary offices to accommodate the staff growth. This new addition represents a significant investment in our infrastructure, designed to enhance our operations and support our growing capacity. We'd like to thank everyone involved in bringing this project to life—from our dedicated project teams, to our hardworking employees who kept everything running smoothly. #PlantExpansion #BusinessGrowth #manufacturing #JobCreation

Load out 3 in as many weeks. It has been a very busy period for our projects and logistics personnel in Ijmuiden with the 3rd load-out of TCP to head across the Atlantic for the Americas region. Today see's the delivery of high pressure CF/PA12 TCP towards Louisiana where under our Jumpers on Demand model individual jumpers will be cut to length and fabricated on the Gulf Coast early next year. Removing the need for metrology Reducing the overlength Reducing the risk Reducing the costs TCP JoD Reach out to find out more
