Many of the 365 institutions surveyed for the Global Enrolment Benchmark Survey reported a decrease in enrolments for the August/September intake, and many found the effects of restrictive government policies and visa issues to be significant.  At the Master’s/Postgraduate level, where most international students are enrolled, 41% of institutions report a decline compared to last year's intake. The average change reported in each country/region ranged from -27% in Canada to +2% in European countries. Informed by a survey of 365 institutions across 66 countries, the Global Enrolment Benchmark Report sheds light on the evolving landscape of international student enrolment. Our findings highlight significant obstacles universities are currently facing, their enrolment trends compared to last year, and their outlook for the next 12 months.
