Education Awards📚 ! On Thursday the 23th of January the Education Awards took place! This year it was the first time we organized it with Studievereniging Intermate and it was a great success! The IE&IS Education Award is our way for students to show appreciation to the teachers! Each nominee has been doing a great job, inspiring and supporting students. This award is a chance to recognize their hard work, dedication, and the positive impact they have made. The award ceremony was an absolute blast! The energy in the room was fantastic, and it was wonderful to see everyone come together to celebrate. Plus, the open-wall drink was a huge hit, giving us all the chance to unwind and connect in a relaxed and fun setting. 🔎Looking for: Collaboration on the International Research Project of 2025! The International Research Project (IRP) is a study trip combined with research projects for Industrial Engineering Master students at the Eindhoven University of Technology. The preparations for the IRP 2025 are in full swing since the research projects are planned to kick off in February 2025. Every participant will conduct a 100-hour project at a company in The Netherlands before the trip to develop themselves, to gain working experience in a company, and to partly finance the study trip. But what is in it for you? 👀 We are Master's students of the department of Industrial Engineering and Innovation Sciences. Therefore, IRP is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to get in touch with our Master students. Our students will be able to provide fresh perspectives to your everyday processes, which will allow for innovative solutions and process improvements. Last week we celebrated the DIES of Industria! 🚀 We started the day with an insightful job interview training by YER, where students learned how to prepare for interviews and, most importantly, how to answer the question: "Can you introduce yourself confidently?" It was a valuable session that gave everyone practical tips for their future careers. 💼🙌 After the training, we celebrated Industria’s birthday in the magical atmosphere of the Efteling. Yesterday, we hosted our first Case Competition of the year in collaboration with Anago and Slimstock! 💡 During the evening, our students tackled two exciting real-life challenges. With Anago, they applied their knowledge to solve a facility allocation problem, bringing theory into practice. At the case of Slimstock they got a hands-on feel for how a supply chain works. The students learned about the bullwhip effect and about the importance of good communication within a supply chain. 👏 A huge thanks to our partners Anago and Slimstock and the students for their participation and hard work. Since January, Industria has been active with numerous career events for the academic year 2023-2024. In February, we held our best-attended lunch lecture with our Platinum Partner GXO Logistics, Inc.. We also hosted lunch lectures featuring Dow, iTrainee, DPD Nederland, Advantech, Unilever, and Capgemini Invent. Additionally, we organized a Cooking Workshop with Emixa, a High Wine event with ASML and Argon & Co, and a Meet the Partners dinner with our Gold and Platinum partners. We also arranged trips, including a visit to Kuehne+Nagel in Belgium for first-year students, and a company tour for second-year students visiting Logicall (Janssen), the European Parliament, and Royal Swinkels. We are proud of the engagement and opportunities we’ve provided and look forward to more events.
