Back in the 80s when Translation Memories were invented, the translation processes suddenly became a lot more cost and time efficient. Now you can add a Quality Estimation step to your workflow and become even more efficient. It's the biggest cost-saving invention since TMs and we're excited to share a use case from BLEND Localization who have implemented an innovative QE program that helps their clients save up to 80% in costs. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eWFyN7RJ And don't forget to sign up for our webinar on 4 December 2024 where Andrew Miller and Amir Kamran will share more insights about this successful program as well as an exclusive sneak peek into what to expect from TAUS QE in the coming months. https://lnkd.in/ei2ZatVt

Many predictions were made since TAUS was founded as a think tank in November 2004. We're celebrating our 20th anniversary this month and felt it was time for some retrospection. Which of the predictions have come true? Where did we go wrong? And what is yet to come? Read more in our latest blog by TAUS Founder Jaap Van Der Meer https://lnkd.in/ePFQcC6W

The TAUS 2024 Albuquerque conference was the best I’ve attended so far. So rich in content that one can barely resist the temptation of writing a 20-page treatise and risk sounding like an LLM. But resist I did and in this 100% human-written article, I distilled my thoughts into three key takeaways that I found most important. A huge thank you to the organizers, and especially Anne-Maj van der Meer and Jaap Van Der Meer, for curating such an all-star event. It was a pleasure exchanging thoughts with industry experts and illuminati: Renato Beninatto, Konstantin Dranch, Hadar Shemtov, Sako Eaton, Jon Lavine, Jose Palomares, Arle Lommel, Jean-Francois Lymburner, Erik Vogt, Richard Sikes, Olga Beregovaya, Alex Yanishevsky, Scott S., Andrew Miller, Konstantin Savenkov, Wayne Bourland, Georg Kirchner, Jochen Hummel, Cecilia Piaggio, Juan Rowda, Manuel Herranz, Grant Straker, Oscar Straker, Véronique Özkaya, Eva Gross, Alessandro Fusacchia, Ann Huehls, Ludmila Golovine, Jonathan Cohen, Adam Youngfield, Matthew Hardy, Philip Delaney, and more. Special mentions go to Veronica Hylák, who took me into the NM desert to search for petroglyphs, and to Marina Lee with whom I turned out to share not just a name but an entire worldview. #TAUS2024 # Localization #GenAI #LinguisticAI
