"We should not be looking for leadership outside, over there in some other country. We have to take the leadership, we have to build on what we know and we have to set the course for the future generations." - Sanam Naraghi Anderlini, MBE Last Thursday more than 130 representatives of The Hague peace and justice community gathered for the annual Peace and Justice reception, hosted by the Gemeente Den Haag and The Hague Humanity Hub. 💬⚡ The keynote speech of the evening was delivered by Sanam Naraghi-Anderlini, Founder and Executive Director of the International Civil Society Action Network (ICAN). In her powerful speech, Sanam reminds us that the solutions we seek lie within ourselves. You can watch the keynote back and read more about the reception ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eD5npdaf 💡🗣 The evening was filled with insightful yet pressing speeches. Thank you Jill Wilkinson for stressing the need for resilience and creativity and for welcoming Joke Brandt as the new chair of the supervisory board. The Mayor of The Hague, Jan van Zanen, emphasised how collaboration and interaction in the community lead to real innovation.
