After seven years, a little era is coming to an end. My esteemed colleague Mark Bregenzer started the first LeSS Meetup MUC event at the Valtech office on 1 March 2017. Yesterday I hosted the 46th and last event. It was a blast and a lot of nice and instructive experiences for all participants. The Meetup will of course live on! I'm already looking forward to being a „normal“ participant again next year! Thank you, Mark! Thanks to everyone! #lessworks #Valtech #largescalescrum

Developer and coach in multi-team products.

For Dutch people :) Tomorrow there is a meet-up on "the people side of a LeSS adoption". The presenter is Emily, a people manager of Wartsila. Wartsila has been in a LeSS adoption for a couple of years and Emily is super knowledgable on the organisation change and HR side. For people wondering how the organisation is structured and HR/people practices are handled in a LeSS context, this is a meet-up you don't want to miss. There is still space. #lessworks #scrum

  • Scaling across hundreds of teams can feel chaotic, but LeSS Huge is here to address the unique challenges that come with large-scale development. Here are 5 key elements that make LeSS Huge a powerful framework for scaling without losing focus or falling into dependency traps: Multi-Product Backlogs Separate backlogs for different product areas ensure that each team aligns with specific customer needs, keeping work focused and manageable. Requirement Areas By dividing the product into Requirement Areas, teams can concentrate on specific goals and priorities, lowering coordination costs and making inter-team dependencies manageable. Area Product Owners Each area has a dedicated Product Owner to streamline decision-making and quickly address priorities, reducing delays and enhancing alignment with the overall strategy. Large-Scale Sprint Planning Coordinated sprints across teams to reduce bottlenecks, helping everyone stay in sync to deliver initiatives efficiently and without confusion. Scaling with Simplicity LeSS Huge emphasizes simplicity in processes and communication—even at scale—minimizing complexity that often leads to “dependency hell.” With LeSS Huge, organizations can scale across hundreds of teams without losing sight of customer needs, all while keeping coordination costs in check and dependency issues manageable. #LeSSHuge #Scaling #Leadership #Enterprise #Teamwork #LeSSWorks

Explore Unified Agile Coaching at the Largest Czech Bank!🚀 👉 See how this journey can inspire your Agile transformation: https://lnkd.in/engm5J-2 In this video, Michal Donát shares the Czech Republic's largest bank’s 3-year journey to a “Team of Teams” Agile coaching model. With 55 Agile coaches working across Tribes and Squads, this approach has transformed both team alignment and strategic impact across the organization. 🎥 Key Insight: "Freedom without alignment leads to inefficiency. But when Agile coaches operate with a shared purpose, they become one voice—creating genuine, lasting impact." This story highlights the evolution from a siloed coaching structure to a unified, consultancy-style model, where coaches rotate to meet skill needs. This shift has enhanced expertise, strengthened alignment, and helped Agile coaches become essential strategic partners. #LeSS #AgileTransformation #AgileCoaching #TeamAlignment #Scrum #OrganizationalImpact #AgileTeams #ContinuousImprovement #LeSSWorks

🚀 Myths of Software Management: Conway’s Law 🎥 In product development, myths abound—and Conway’s Law is no exception. 🌍💡 Craig Larman’s latest talk dives deep into the real meaning behind this foundational principle, shedding light on how its misuse has shaped (and often misshaped) large-scale organizational design. 🔑 What you’ll discover in the video: - The correct interpretation of Conway's Law (hint: it’s NOT about locking teams to architecture). - Why flexibility in organizational design is essential—and how it ties directly to CEO-level priorities like adaptability, value delivery, and speed. - How misreadings of Conway’s paper have led to common misconceptions like “component teams” or “fixed architectures.” - The shocking evolution (and distortion) of terms like Inverse Conway Maneuver and Reverse Conway Maneuver. 📖 A key insight from Craig: If your architecture isn’t perfect (it rarely is), locking your teams into it is a recipe for stagnation. The solution? Foster cross-functional, end-to-end communication—and design for flexibility and evolution. 💡 Bonus Takeaway: Craig shares a game-changing tip for educators and leaders: Teach the truth first, then debunk the myths. Why? Because human psychology remembers what you hear first. 🧠 Curious? Intrigued? Ready to challenge the status quo? 🎬 Watch the video now and rethink the way we scale: https://lnkd.in/eiYuFK-g Let’s discuss below—what myths around scaling or organizational design have you encountered? 👇 #LeSSWorks #OrganisationalDesign #ProductDevelopment
