  • Our brand new exhibition ‘Still Processing’, curated by Bogomir Doringer, is now open to the public. Across seven large-scale new media and interactive works, 'Still Processing' – our fourth complete exhibition – explores how people and technology translate data into meaning. How do we navigate between the rational and the emotional? The exhibition explores the flattening of images, the mental imprints left by watching moving light, and how AI evolves digitally created worlds and characters. Visit us this weekend in Amsterdam Noord — tickets on sale now at nxtmuseum.com.

  • Loading Exhibition Artists (7/7) Meet Balfua – Berlin-based artist and musician Sam Balfus crafting immersive digital artworks rooted in world-building, fantasy, and the liminality of describable experience. Music and visuals converge in intricate, multisensory environments where he integrates various analogue and digital techniques—drawing, sculpture, Computer-Generated Imagery (CGI), animation, VR, 3D printing, and AI. Among these environments is Sayssiworld, an evolving digital ecosystem with dazzling creatures that has gained popularity in social media and amassed Balfua a large follower base amongst his other work. • Loading Exhibition Artists (6/7). Meet Lumus Instruments – creative studio using light, sound, and structure as the mediums of choice for their installation-based and scenographic art pieces. As artists in residence at Nxt Museum since August 2024, the studio is run by Timo Lejeune and Julius Oosting. The duo have roots in design, architecture, and engineering, and the combination of their background and interests creates a style focused on spatially bound technologies. For ‘Still Processing’, Lumus Instruments present a new version of their work that continues to evolve throughout their residency at Nxt: ‘POLYNODE XI’, with sound by Max Frimout and technology in collaboration with Bureau Moeilijke Dingen and Luxalight. Nxt Museum’s fourth exhibition, ‘Still Processing’, curated by Bogomir Doringer, opens to the public this Thursday, February 7. Early bird tickets now available via the link in the comments. • Loading Exhibition Artists (5/7). Gabey Tjon a Tham is an installation artist working and living in the Hague, The Netherlands. Gabey’s artistic practice revolves around the question: ‘How natural is nature in our current time?’ In her work, she researches complex systems that occur both in nature and in our digital world and the processes through which they affect each other. She explores this through audiovisual installations that toe the line between virtual and analog realities. Videos shot by Tanja Busking. Nxt Museum’s fourth exhibition, ‘Still Processing’, curated by Bogomir Doringer opens to the public this week, February 7.

  • Loading Exhibition Artists (4/7). Meet Children of the Light – the Amsterdam-based artist duo comprising Christopher Gabriel and Arnout Hulskamp. Using light as their primary medium, they create immersive performances, videos, sculptures, and installations inspired by the cosmos and natural phenomena. Their work evokes dreamlike scenes that re-enchant spaces, from clubs to churches. Audio credits: ‘Pulses of Information’, Written and performed by Rival Consoles; Courtesy of Erased Tapes.
