👨💻 Meet Eugenio Mazzone, our new talented PhD Researcher at The Hyve. With a bachelor’s degree in Physics and a master’s in Physics of Complex Systems (University of Turin), Eugenio is pursuing a PhD in Veterinary Medicine, where he explores the mutational landscape of canine cancers. His research focuses on compiling genomic datasets to uncover biomarkers and therapeutic targets, while also addressing compatibility challenges in non-human genomes. At The Hyve, Eugenio is working on adapting cBioPortal for the Canine Cancer Genome Atlas (#CCGA). His efforts include implementing advanced tools like Genome Nexus and developing new features to make canine cancer datasets more accessible for researchers and clinicians. 🐶👩🔬 Join us in welcoming Eugenio to the team! ✨ We're excited to have you here and look forward to seeing your contributions to comparative oncology.

As digital health solutions transform clinical research, understanding the regulatory landscape for remote measurement technologies (#RMTs) in Alzheimer’s disease is crucial. 🎯 These technologies, including wearables and mobile health apps, offer unique opportunities for real-time monitoring of cognitive decline. However, challenges around GDPR compliance, interoperability, and clinical validation remain. The Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) RADAR-AD consortium has been working closely with regulators like the #EMA and #FDA to pave the way for RMT-based assessments in Alzheimer’s studies.
