Cruise Season 2024 VCK Agency Department Wow! The 2024 cruise season has already ended for VCK Agency. What a fantastic year it was, with many interesting calls of beautiful ships with their extremely skilled and helpful crew. With the help of all port authorities and our partners in the port, we have done everything we can to ensure that our ships leave the port happy. For this we would like to thank everyone who has helped with this, without each other we are nowhere in shipping. It was a season with some challenges. Several calls have been disrupted by XR protesters, causing ships to come to the Netherlands later, somewhere else or not at all, we as agency tried to manage this as well as possible. In particular, the citizens of IJmuiden, security of the terminals and everyone who ensured that our ships could still sail, THANK YOU. It is good to know that from Q1 2025 there will be shore power available for Cruise in Rotterdam and Amsterdam. Last year we also had a cruise call in the port of Scheveningen for the first time with our agency, last year it was with ms SH Diana, a beautiful expedition ship with the right length to call at the port of Scheveningen. It was a very positive experience from our side, made possible by the port authorities of Scheveningen # Cees Duvecot # Edwin Leemans # Anita Verwoest Verhoog, they were extremely guest friendly and did everything they could to make the call successful, we therefore hope to be able to go that way with several small cruise ships in the future, just like Harlingen, highly recommended. Last year we also had turnaround calls and cruise calls in several ports in the Netherlands, we would like to thank the cruise terminals for their hospitality, professional handling and the cleanliness of the terminal and quay. (CTR, CPA, Felison terminal.) The professional help of the stevedores and porters for the provisioning and suitcase handling was also top arranged last cruise season # VCK logistics, # STC, # Libelle. 🚢 Maiden Call of mv Höegh Aurora in Amsterdam! 🚢 We were honored to welcome the mv Höegh Aurora during its Maiden Call in Amsterdam. As the largest Pure Car and Truck Carrier (PCTC) ever built, with a capacity of 9,100 car equivalent units (CEU), this vessel represents a new era in RoRo transportation.
