Transdev Nederland has ordered as many as 86 battery-powered new generation Citeas. These electric city buses will start operating in the Utrecht Binnen concession in about a year's time. Transdev is one of the largest operators in the Netherlands. It plays a leading role in emission-free mobility and has been one of VDL Bus & Coach's largest customers for years. The order for 86 new generation Citeas, the confirmation of its confidence in VDL buses, is part of Transdev's strategy to equip its entire fleet in Utrecht with emission-free vehicles. The city currently operates 50 bus lines, on which more than 30 million passengers are transported to their destinations every year. Transdev chose our new generation Citea because of its low energy consumption, optimal deployment, optimal comfort for both passengers and driver and maximum passenger capacity. The order of 86 electric buses further expands the cooperation between VDL Bus & Coach and Transdev. We look forward to this new step in our sustainable cooperation! VISION OPERATOR - AERODYNAMICS During the design and development phase of Vision Futura, we paid close attention to aerodynamics. This resulted in improved aerodynamics for optimal performance, with innovative features such as: ✔ Sleek Front End - Designed with a rounded front end, optimising the transition from the front to the top and bottom.
