Am-asia-ng experience.
I've had a few questions about what I was doing in Asia! Well, I'm on my way back to the Netherlands from Jakarta (with a three-hour layover in Hong Kong), so I have a bit of time to write (and later prepare for Slovania and Kuwait). Reflecting on an incredible tour through Asia—it was an amazing experience. It all started in Hong Kong, a city I'd never visited before, and it's truly impressive and unique. I was invited to speak at an evening mini-symposium organized by the Hong Kong Society of Critical Care Medicine, Legendmaster, and Hamilton Medicine at Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital, one of Hong Kong's largest hospitals. I was the sole speaker and covered a range of topics, additionally did a live simulation demonstration. The next day, I taught at Queen Mary Hospital, another of the largest hospitals there (both were really huge compared to what I'm used to). I presented on respiratory mechanics, ASV, and INTELLiVENT-ASV, and offered demonstrations and bedside teaching in the ICU. The resources and, more importantly, the enthusiasm of the team left a strong impression on me. Later, at the APSR annual conference, I had the opportunity to speak about advanced automated weaning modes and the difference they can make. Then I traveled to Jakarta for two days of lectures and workshops, focusing primarily on ASV and INTELLiVENT-ASV, along with other topics. The audience was incredibly interactive, with many interesting questions. Then, at the APSR annual conference, I had the opportunity to speak on advanced/automated weaning modes. After that, I traveled to Jakarta for two days of lectures and workshops, focusing primarily on ASV and INTELLiVENT-ASV but also covering some other topics. The interactive audience was highly engaged, with plenty of interesting questions. A unique surprise was that it had only recently been decided to broadcast the first day online. I learned the day before that the event would be opened by the president of the Indonesian Society of Intensive Care Medicine and, after looking him up, I discovered the event was even featured on the front page of the society's website. With over 1,000 registrations. All in all, an exceptional experience across two different cultures with incredibly friendly people. I’ve gained some valuable contacts along the way. #INTELLiVENT #IntelligentVentilation #IntensiveCare #CriticalCare #MechanicalVentilation #MechanicalVentilator #RespiratoryTherapy #RespiratoryCare #VentilatorKnowledge #VentilationGeeks #VentilationKnowledge #MedicalEducation #Venti_LEREN #HamiltonMedical #Legendmaster #IDSMed
