To gain insight into how financial companies approach data-driven development, we spoke with a product owner at ABN, who shared how their agile teams integrate data into their workflows. She explained: ‘’We use Google Analytics on all our screens and buttons for our app. When developing new features, we formulate hypotheses about user behavior, which we then test afterward, adjusting the functionality as needed. Additionally, bank-wide and industry-wide research is conducted on trends, which we strive to integrate as effectively as possible into new developments. When introducing new features, we often start with a small-scale, in-depth user study to enhance the design and interaction based on direct feedback and usage." This collaboration underscores the immense potential of transforming niche markets like whisky investments. Before starting the technical implementation, our team worked closely with the SWI team, a group of users, and industry experts. The sessions resulted in VI Company helping with re-creating the platform's strategy and setting new business goals. Since the launch, we have seen growth in the value per bottle, and the total number of invested bottles has increased significantly.
