Bring It Back #6 - Green Friday is a wrap! Thank you all for joining our last event. 🫶 Last night we hosted the sixth and final edition of Bring It Back, our circular community event series in collaboration with Rotterdam Circulair. This special edition focused on Green Friday, a movement that discourages impulsive buying and overconsumption mindful as an antidote to the frenzy of Black Friday. Together with Eveline Eberhardt (Marktplaats), Sandra Jongejan (IKEA), and Tom Leenders (Repeat), we explored how businesses and individuals can counteract overconsumption and embrace mindful consumption. There are plenty of ways to do things differently. Repeat for example, is donating 30% of their sales to a charity. IKEA is promoting its buyback program and their secondhand corner in their stores. Marktplaats is a platform, so they can't do discounts. However they decide to communicate as much as possible how secondhand can be your first choice. Shoutout to Maartje van den Hurk for moderating this compelling conversation. We’re proud to have brought together such inspiring partners and a passionate community to share ideas, learn, and challenge the status quo. Although this was the final Bring It Back, the conversation doesn’t stop here. We're taking Bring It Back to the next level in 2025 to further built the circular community in Rotterdam and beyond! Thank you to everyone who supported us throughout this series so far. A special shoutout to Rotterdam Circulair for enabling us to share this message and to Kumasi Drinks for providing impactful refreshments. Together, we will keep the momentum going! #bringitback #event #circularcommunity #greenfriday #blackfriday
