Accountant - Real Estate Investor - Netherlands

We are currently mandated by a highly respected European real estate investment company to help recruit an Accountant to join their team in Amsterdam.

Main Responsibilities (including but are not limited to):

Financial Accounting

• Day to day accounting for various companies including: Bank statements, Incoming invoices, Outgoing invoices, Accruals and provisions;
• Maintain interest calculation schedules;
• Maintain amortisation / depreciation schedules if applicable;
• Monthly reconciliations;
• Preparation of accruals and provisions;
• Intercompany reconciliations;
• Preparation of financial statements.

Administration & General

• Preparation and assistance of periodical Luxembourg/Dutch/German VAT & CIT returns;
• Review, filing and follow up of information provided by property managers;
• Preparation of financial information/analysis as required;
• Preparation of outgoing invoices where applicable;
• Correspondence;
• General administrative tasks.

Assistance year end reporting process / audit process

• Preparation of annual accounts;
• Liaise with external auditors;
• Preparation of monthly reporting;
• Preparation of ad hoc reports / reconciliations.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Degree in accounting (ACCA or similar);
• Background within the Real Estate industry is a plus.
• Fluency in English and Dutch is essential.
• Advanced user of MS Office and experience with an accounting software is preferred;
• Excellent organisation skills;
• Team player;
• Goal oriented and hands on mentality.
