You will be part of Samsung Electronics Europe Logistics B.V. (SELS) of which the main office is located in Delft. SELS is the Central European logistics organization of Samsung Electronics, which functions as a logistics and financial control tower within SEC Europe, with a focused role in logistics & supply chain strategy, innovation and monitoring. SELS has approximately 120 employees divided over various department.

As Accounting Assistant, you will be mainly responsible for supporting the Accounting Team with an efficient and effective financial administration in accordance with HQ Strategy and local European legislation.


Role And Responsibilities

  • [AR] Process receivables related tasks like account master management, credit check, receivable clearing. Support to perform tasks according to processes.
  • [Fixed asset] Check an account book like asset acquisition, change management (transfer, sell, disuse), depreciation, and inventory, etc. by deciding whether it is profit expenditure or capital expenditure based on an investment plan.
  • [AP] Timely process and check invoices from vendors. Understand the payment standard and process. Checking weekly payment run to vendors.
  • [Travel expenses] Checking travel expenses in line with internal procedures and regulation and support to employees related credit card and settlement.
  • [Netting Process] Checking netting process in accordance with schedule and insure that all invoices have been correctly settled.
  • [Managing daily closing] Examine whether a financial statement and bank account match, managing daily closing.
  • [Closing] Support daily and monthly closing with task related AR,AP, fixed assets(i.e. accruals for logistic and general expenses , bad debts, AR and AP closing).
  • [Reporting] Support to finance manager for internal reporting and risk management.


Who we are looking for:

  • Bachelor degree in Finance;
  • 2-3 years working experience in a similar position at an international organization;
  • Experience with and knowledge of IFRS and ERP systems, Excel;
  • Strong communication skills in English, Dutch is a plus;
