Chief Executive Officer

Our client is a scale-up company in the domain of electron microscopy. Over the last few years our client has developed its product and has started delivering products to customers. To date the company has built a global distributor network and has built a customer base of first adopters, typically top-tier academic groups in the field of structural biology and materials science. The company is ready for the next growth stage.

Responsibilities

The focus will be on continuing driving business development and expanding the sales worldwide. An important challenge is to transform the company from a startup-mode into scale up-mode. This requires changing and/or improving the organization and management structure, the internal processes, the quality system. You will take lead across all aspects of the company by reviewing how departments work together and build a positive and productive culture in the workplace.

Profile

• Master’s degree or PHD in physics, chemistry or biology;
• At least 5-10 years’ experience as a hands-on technology leader in a similar (start-up / scale-up, larger sized company) environment;
• Experience in marketing and sales of advanced instrumentation;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English;
• Strong leadership, decision making and communication skills;
• Strong problem solving skills;
• Focus on building, structuring and coaching the team on business development, sales, R&D.
• A strategic mindset with a pragmatic approach and the ability to thrive under pressure in an dynamic environment;

Nice to have:

• Experience in product development and production;
• Experience and network and market of Electron Microscopy.
