GL Accountant

To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for a GL Accountant in the Group Finance Department to join us in our European Headquarter based in Amsterdam.



Summary:

We’re seeking a highly skilled General Ledger (GL) Accountant to perform a variety of essential tasks supporting our financial operations. As a GL Accountant, you’ll work closely with multiple internal teams to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant accounting practices. If you thrive in a collaborative environment and have strong analytical skills, we want to hear from you!

What you'll do:

• Collaborate with Internal Departments: Work with various teams to gather, analyze, and interpret financial information to ensure accurate reporting.
• Perform Financial Audits: Regularly audit financial data for accuracy and completeness, ensuring the integrity of financial information.
• Ensure Compliance: Uphold accounting standards and ensure all financial information adheres to regulatory and professional requirements.
• Support Budgeting and Forecasting: Align general ledger accounting practices to support company budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Maintain Accurate Financial Entries: Process financial data including accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, and interdepartmental entries into the general ledger each month.
• Account Analysis: Perform thorough analysis of accounts to verify that journal entries and balances are correct.
• Reconcile Accounts: Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Recordkeeping and Documentation: Gather supporting documentation for records, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the financial records.
• Stay Up-to-Date on Regulations: Keep abreast of regulatory changes and best practices in accounting.
  
  

What You'll Bring

• Education: Bachelor's or associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate preferred.
• Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in accounting and business management software.
• Knowledge: In-depth understanding of accounting standards and regulations.
• Skills:
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities.
