European Regional Controller or Financial Controller
Overview
The Accountant is responsible for the accounting operations of the company including the preparation of periodic financial reports. Supports in executing all financial related activities and responsibilities and ensure that reported results comply with the US generally accepted accounting principles or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities Include
Maintain an orderly accounting system and accounting filing system.
Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions and reconciliations.
Responsibility for and actively execute the month-end closing process for the Dutch entity
Assist in preparing timely and complete financial statements and reports.
Ensure proper margin analysis.
Supports the Operations team with financial information.
Distribution of internal reports to the Affiliates.
Assist European affiliates with any financial issues.
Responsible for VAT and CBS declarations.
Support the European Regional Controller with all departmental/financial matters.
Key Characteristics, Competencies and Skills
Analytical and business judgment including demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong written & oral communication skills in Dutch and English.
Independent, self-motivated, team player.
Able to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and management.
Well organized and accurate.
Ability to drive things to completion.
Structured planning approach.
Maintain high level of integrity and discretion in confidential information.
Qualifications
A locally respected (Accounting-) degree (MBO+ in NL) or equivalent combination of education and proven work experience.
At least 3-5 years of relevant all round accounting experience in an international, industrial environment.
Required experience with Dynamics AX 2012 or Dynamics 365
Strong preference with One stream
Responsibility for and actively execute the month-end closing process for a Dutch entity
Strong preference proven track record working in a project organization (both Time & materials - and lumpsum contracts)
Strong preference working with SOX controls.
