Job Opportunity: Ambitious Senior Finance controller

Are you an experienced accounting professional ready to take ownership of financial operations in a growing and dynamic company? We are looking for a Senior Finance controller to manage our financial systems and contribute directly to our success. You will work closely together with our Finance administration assistant who will take care of the operational tasks such as booking.

32-40 hours per week

Your Responsibilities

As our General Accountant, you will take a hands-on role in managing our finances. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Financial Oversight: Manage and supervise all financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, cash flow management, and compliance with accounting standards.
• Invoice Management: Oversee incoming and outgoing invoices, ensuring accurate tracking and timely payments.
• General Ledger & Reconciliation: Set up and maintain general ledgers, perform reconciliations, and manage period-end closings.
• Cost Analysis: Categorize costs to provide real-time insights into revenues and expenses.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Accounting Software Utilization: Use 'Exact Online' to automate processes, track transactions, and generate reports efficiently.
• System Optimization: Organize and refine the accounting system to enhance clarity around costs and revenues.
• Comprehensive Financial Support: Assist with various tasks as needed to ensure the overall financial health of the company.
• Strategic Involvement: Play a key role in connecting financial processes to the company’s overall performance and growth strategy.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive accountant who can work independently while also collaborating effectively with our team. Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:

• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English preferably Dutch 
• Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 years in accounting roles within small to medium-sized businesses.
• Technical Skills: Strong familiarity with accounting software, especially Exact Online or similar platforms.
• Analytical & Detail-Focused: Exceptional attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
• Independent Yet Collaborative: Comfortable managing responsibilities independently but also a team player when needed.
• Motivated & Innovative: A desire to improve processes, solve problems, and contribute to organizational success.
• Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or similar designation is an advantage.
