𝗡𝗢𝗪 𝗢𝗡 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗪 - Design Academy Eindhoven x TextielLab  The TextielMuseum attaches great importance to talent development 🚀That is why we work structurally with various courses, offer internships and graduation places in the TextielLab and organise the annual international Advanced Textile Program for starting artists and designers. One of the study programmes we work intensively with is Design Academy Eindhoven. Fourth-year students taking the Textiles focus module were able to realise a project at the TextielLab in collaboration with the lab's product developers in the autumn of 2024. The results will be displayed at the TextielMuseum's revamped Panoramadeck from February to March 2025. 𝗚𝗘𝗧 𝗔 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧 - When can you apply for a grant, how does it work and what do you need to be aware of? The Creative Industries Fund NL and Mondriaan Fonds are jointly organising an information session on grant possibilities for #artists and #designers who have already graduated or are close to graduation. The Get a Grant Event gives an overview of what the Creative Industries Fund NL and Mondriaan Fund can offer starting creative professionals. Staff from the two funds will tell you about the grant possibilities. 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗡 𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗨𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗦 - Do you want to realise your graduation project in our TextielLab this spring? You still have one month to apply! ⁠📢 ⁠ Last year, Thea Brandauer was selected to come to our TextielLab and work on her graduation project for the Hamburg University of Applied Police Sciences. ⁠ ⁠ She created the tapestry 'REWOVEN – At Athena’s Peplos'. This work was part of the exhibition ‘Feste Feiern!’ in the Museum für Kunst & Gewerbe (MK&G) in Hamburg, Germany.  ⁠ The design is a contemporary interpretation of the mythological motifs on a Greek vase from 350 BC. Her desire to translate this into a woven fabric is no coincidence. The motifs are thought to have originated from a cloak (peplos) that was draped around the statue of Athena on the Acropolis during the annual celebrations in ancient Athens ⚱️ ⁠ ⏰⁠ So do you have a great plan in mind for your graduation project?
