Today we are celebrating 9 years of successful production from the Edvard Grieg field in the North Sea! Edvard Grieg was discovered in 2007 and started production in 2015. The estimated reserves are now 379 million boe, compared to the estimated 186 million boe from the plan for development and operations (PDO). Located in the Utsira High area, it produces undersaturated oil from sandstone and conglomerate reservoirs. Prysmian in Drammen is in full swing delivering cables to the Aker BP-operated developments Valhall PWP-Fenris and Yggdrasil. The company is one of over 250 suppliers in Norway delivering directly to Aker BP’s ongoing project portfolio. Our projects secure activity, develop competence, and prepare the industry for a future in new value chains. At Prysmian, they have increased staffing by 30 percent through deliveries to Valhall PWP-Fenris and Yggdrasil.

The assembly of the Hugin A platform is underway at Stord. Today, the first building block was lifted into place at the assembly area at the Aker Solutions yard. Hugin A is the area centre in the Yggdrasil development. The platform is delivered by the Fixed Facilities Alliance between Aker BP, Aker Solutions, and Siemens Energy. The topsides will weigh nearly 30,000 tonnes when completed. Over the next year, the Hugin A platform will rise at the yard with sections and modules delivered from multiple yards in Norway and abroad. Several thousand people will be involved in the work, which will have significant ripple effects in the local community at Stord.

Strengthening emergency preparedness In October, Aker BP teamed up with operators, suppliers, authorities, and partners for Tveegg, a large-scale emergency exercise. Over 180 participants across multiple locations worked together, testing collaboration and emergency response. Key highlights: ✅ First-ever use of the assist-team agreement to share trained personnel across companies ✅ Realistic scenarios to challenge crisis management skills ✅ Valuable lessons learned to further improve preparedness "This exercise confirmed our ability to work together effectively while identifying areas for improvement. The work on the Hugin A jacket is progressing at the Aker Solutions yard in Verdal. The jacket, which will weigh over 20.000 tones when completed, is one of the largest ever built at the yard. The team has completed two of four roll-ups. Assembly of the jacket will continue through the winter, and the complete Hugin A jacket will be delivered from the yard for installation in the Yggdrasil area in the summer of 2025.

Aker BP is investing in modern fields – with production emissions among the lowest in the world. Cre8 is delivering to both Valhall PWP-Fenris and Yggdrasil, and 25 employees are involved in the work.

The projects Yggdrasil, Valhall PWP-Fenris, Skarv Satellites and Utsira High are almost two years into execution now. Framo is a supplier to Yggdrasil, and many apprentices are involved in the work.
