𝗜𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗰 𝗙𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗱𝘃í𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗯𝘆𝘁𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽  We are pleased to announce our new partnership with Kaldvík, Iceland’s largest producer of farmed salmon. As part of this collaboration, Kaldvík will implement Aquabyte systems across its sites, and together, our two companies will develop new products tailored to meet the specific needs of Icelandic fish farming. Before entering the partnership, Kaldvík conducted a benchmarking process to evaluate the available options, with our system ranking highest on all key criteria. 𝗔𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗯𝘆𝘁𝗲 𝗪𝗜𝗦𝗘 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲: 𝗟𝗔𝗞𝗦𝗩𝗘𝗟 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 Developed by the Institute of Marine Research (IMR), Norway, LAKSVEL is the standard protocol for welfare scoring in salmon and trout farming in Norway. It has also been recognized in other regions worldwide. Launched in November 2022, the Aquabyte WISE Welfare product has quickly become an essential tool for our customers. Powered by machine learning, it provides farmers with valuable insights into the welfare of the fish in their pens. Although LAKSVEL serves as the foundation of WISE Welfare, our product goes beyond this protocol. In addition to the indicators defined in LAKSVEL, WISE Welfare provides users with additional data and insights on eye welfare, fin damage, gill damage, and jaw deformities. It also tracks body wound status, indicating whether wounds are active or healing. The additional data and insights from WISE Welfare are essential for farmers in making decisions that enhance fish welfare and drive profitability. The 4th 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 took place in the State of Paraná, Brazil, in late September. Covering all sectors of the aquaculture and fishery industries, the conference had 4,000 attendees and featured more than 40 invited speakers from 18 countries. In this report, we, along with a selection of fish farming companies and suppliers, are recognized for our contributions and efforts toward improving fish welfare. From the report’s summary (translated from Norwegian): "Many suppliers to the industry are developing effective tools that enable new ways to prioritize fish welfare, both in daily operations and during specific procedures." With our technology, fish farmers are replacing invasive manual procedures with automatic lice counting and continuously monitoring the welfare of the fish in their pens. These are just two of the many significant steps the industry is taking to further improve fish welfare, reduce mortality, and promote sustainability. Today, we are introducing a major product advancement that empowers farmers to make smarter, data-driven decisions throughout the entire fish lifecycle.
