ARENA is a multidisciplinary centre of basic research at the University of Oslo studying the evolving European political order. ARENA conducts theoretically founded and empirically informed research on the emerging European political order. We ask the questions: * What are the basic characteristics and the key components of the new emerging order? * How it is this new order transformed? * What are the implications for member state governing arrangements and for the citizens of Europe?

Som vi har sett den siste tiden kan EU-direktiver føre til regjeringskrise. Hva sier forskningen om prosesser knyttet til dette? Hvilke holdninger har lekfolk og byråkrater til innføring av EUs rettsakter? I samarbeid med ARENA Centre for European Studies inviterer Partnerforum til seminar med høyaktuell tematikk. Det å gjennomføre lover fra instanser utenfor egne nasjonale grenser kan ikke alltid gjøres rent mekanisk i henhold til en ferdig oppskrift.
