  • Last week, our CEO Benjamin Golding, and EVP Ann-Kari Heier, attended NHO’s yearly conference in Oslo. A main topic discussed at the event was competitiveness. Threats like declining productivity, high absenteeism, and lack of available expertise. Competition from China and the US were also highlighted in many of the presentations. “In light of the recent Draghi-report, the conference’s theme of competitiveness is very timely. Driving innovation, securing access to risk capital and increasing workforce participation are all key elements in building competitive strength and also highly relevant topics for our work at Arendals Fossekompani ASA,” says Golding. “I found it particularly inspiring to listen to Jacob Wallenberg talk about the history and purpose of Wallenberg Investments and the Wallenberg Foundations. And to hear Helge Lund describe how the business community, academia, and public authorities in Denmark are working together to create long-term value in companies like Novo Nordisk. It was also an energy boost to hear Jens Stoltenberg optimism and engagement,” says Heier. A warm thank you to the conference coordinators, speakers and sponsors. 🤝 📸 credit: NTB Kommunikasjon
