Diverse, nutritious, affordable, and safe food for all – this is the aim of this year’s #WorldFoodDay. @PHOTONFOOD aims to make our food safer by developing devices that can measure contaminants in wheat and peanuts at an affordable price, in line with EU regulation limits and along the food value chain from farm to fork. Now, at the project’s end, we are also looking to diversify the use cases, including the analysis of wine! Which contaminant would you like to measure in your food? #foodsafety #foodtechnology

BioSpec members, Volha Akulava (now at NoMy), Bijay Kafle and Eirik Almklov Magnussen, have received their doctoral diplomas at NMBU as an affirmation that they have achieved the highest level of academic education. Congratulations!

Miriam Aledda presented her work at the conference of Chemometrics in Analytical Chemistry, XIX CAC 2024, in Santa Fe, Argentina! Her work is related to the projects PHOTONFOOD and DigiFoods SFI.

Congratulations to Eirik Almklov Magnussen on his successful defense last week! In his doctoral work, he has used deep learning to process infrared imaging data 1000 times faster than previous methods💻📈 This means we can extract information from data that we previously couldn't retrieve, both cheaper and faster than before👏
