Earlier this week, we welcomed four NTNU students in Trondheim and Ålesund, who are writing their theses with us this spring. 📕 Henrik Steilbu presented his thesis, "Efficiency of motor drives for Brunvoll's Marine Propulsion Systems," where he will study power losses under different operating conditions. 📗 Eirik Gløersen is working on the thesis "Solar production, flexibility, and storage at Brunvoll", investigating the utilisation and optimisation of the solar panel system on the roof of our factory in Molde. 📘 Marius Hamar presented his thesis on thruster design, focusing on designs with and without bottom hatches under the nozzles of our azimuth retractable thrusters. 📙 Marius Vik is writing the thesis "Combining supervisory control and bumpless transfer in a marine hybrid system", which aims to design a control system that enables a seamless transition between high-speed and low-speed controllers. How have your first few weeks been so far? 👨💼 My first weeks have been very exciting and instructive. The onboarding program for new employees is especially worth mentioning – meeting all departments, going through the product range and Brunvoll's history, and spending time in production with all the highly skilled colleagues there has been really good. 🌊 What excites you most about joining our team and working with clients in this role? 👨💼 The opportunity to join this experienced sales team with colleagues who have many years behind them in sales will be inspiring, and I'm looking forward to joining this team. The way I have been received has been absolutely great! Working with Brunvoll's worldwide sales network and meeting new and existing clients/customers and the Brunvoll agent network will be exciting. 🌊 How do you think your technical and sales experience will help you connect with clients and understand their needs? 👨💼 My background in the mechanical industry and technical sales will be valuable to my role on the sales team here at Brunvoll.
