Coretech Capital started with Thomas Ramm.
Thomas Ramm is the founder and CEO of Coretech Capital. He has dedicated his professional life to establish, discover, and develop technology companies. Ramm has helped commercialize numerous companies and ideas globally, and he has created significant value and disruptive change in many areas within the technology sector.
His most extensive global success came with the technology company Ignis. Under Ramm's leadership, Ignis developed unique and ground-breaking semiconductor technology with production in Asia and Europe and sales worldwide. The company experienced rapid growth. In 2011, Ignis was acquired by the American company Finisair Corporation. The success, mistakes, solutions, and insights Ramm has acquired after more than 25 years in the technology industry became the beginning of Coretech Capital.
Ramm has extensive experience as a managing director, chairman and board member in several technology companies, in Norway and abroad. He started his career as a software salesman at Micro Software and later helped build up the company's successful branch in Sweden. Since then, Ramm has been involved as an investor, employee, strategic advisor, and supporter of successful technology companies. Several of these are still part of Coretech Capital’s portfolio.
Ramm is actively involved in the companies in Coretech's portfolio through his role as CEO of Etain and as a chairman of the board in Smartoptics and Apini.
In 2023 Ramm asked Karin Johansson to join Coretech Capital on it’s mission to create and develop companies with ambitious people, innovative ideas & future proof business models – always with technology at core. More about Karin to come…
