• Reduce, reuse and recycle ♻️ Every European generates appr 190kg of packaging waste every year 🎁📦💸 These new regulations from EU, is a means to fix it. Frédérique Ries (Renew, BE) says it like this: “For the first time in an environmental law, the EU is setting targets to reduce packaging, regardless of the material used. The new rules foster innovation and include exemptions for micro-enterprises. The ban on forever chemicals in food packaging is a great victory for the health of European consumers. We now call on all industrial sectors, EU countries and consumers to play their part in the fight against excess packaging.” #thefuturewewant #designleadership https://lnkd.in/dM_tn_pA

It is estimated that the equivalent of 50 billion plastic bottles’ worth of microplastics enter wastewater every year from washing synthetic garments. There’s no single solution to tackling fashion’s impact on the planet but we do know that wool fabrics - even those treated with Hercosett resin to be machine washable - are biodegradable in marine environments. This means that 100% wool fabrics do not contribute to microplastic pollution.

📸: Geir Mogen / Julie Gloppe Solem / Freidrun Reinhold / Kavli Institute for Systems Neuroscience Kavli Institute for Systems Neuroscience #forskning #Nobel

Circular economist: Actioning the circular economy ♻️

This guy is a genius 🤓 Trash ➡️ product in 1-go 🗑️♻️ Can't stop watching. ♻️ What better way to show "do more with less"? ♻️ Beach waste transformed into recycle bins in one seamless process! ♻️ It’s like the ocean is giving us a nudge to clean up its shores. Talk about a trashy idea done right! PS: "No trash" is still the "best trash". Who has other amazing ideas like this? 🗑️ Please share for more circular action. ✍🏽 DM for a 'circular potential sprint'. #circulareconomy #zerowaste #innovation
