Utstyrsproduksjon for fornybar energi

We enable the uptake of clean energy with low-impact, jettyless solutions.

Om oss

At ECONNECT Energy we believe that cleaner energy should be cheap and accessible. We bridge the energy distribution gap with our marine infrastructure solutions and services for the loading and offloading of LNG, Ammonia and Carbon Capture. ECONNECT Energy has developed a cost-efficient system for safe transfer of LNG, ammonia and CO2 between vessels and storage tanks, bypassing the need for building excessive jetties, quays or dredge large areas. ECONNECT Energy conducted the world’s first jettyless LNG transfer at Herøya Industrial Park in October 2017, marking a new era in energy distribution. ECONNECT Energy is rooted in the Norwegian maritime and energy tradition and builds upon decades of experience. Our core competencies are cryogenic liquids, maritime engineering and naval architecture as well as business development within the LNG, renewable fuel and carbon capture industries. With innovative technology we are committed to expanding clean, sustainable and climate-positive energy solutions globally.

  • 🦃 This Thanksgiving morning, we gathered for something a little different—coffee, fresh rolls, and a conversation about sustainability. Our Head of Sustainability and Compliance, Danielle Murphy Cannella, teamed up with Kristine Skare from Deloitte to guide us through the journey of sustainability reporting. They tackled the acronyms, explained the legal framework, and shared insights on how to work with double materiality. Why does it matter? Because building a sustainable future isn’t just a legal requirement—it’s part of how we add value for clients, stand out to investors, and attract the right people to join our team. And because we also value team culture, Wenke made sure we celebrated Thanksgiving properly—with coffee and rolls, including turkey for those feeling festive 🦃

  • Did you know that delivery terms can impact both your project outcomes and your bottom line? 💰 Today, the ECOnnect Energy team dove into the world of Incoterms with an insightful session led by Martin Fossum from Blue Water Shipping. Incoterms, a globally accepted set of delivery terms, shape how we handle buying and selling goods—everything from price implications to transport responsibilities and risk allocation. This interactive session shed light on how these terms influence project execution, ensuring we deliver efficiently while managing risks effectively. A big thank you to Martin for sharing his expertise and to our Supply Chain Manager, Espen, for inviting him to join us. These moments of learning are what help us stay sharp and continuously improve.

  • It’s been two years since we celebrated our ten-year anniversary! 🎉 We started in 2012 at Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, determined to tackle the bottlenecks and environmental challenges of small-scale LNG import in the developing world. Our mission was clear: enable cleaner-burning LNG imports by eliminating the need for invasive jetties and quays, making infrastructure more capital-efficient and accessible in regions where it was once impossible. With a focus on process safety, cryogenics, and hydrodynamics, we designed, built, and deployed the world’s first and only “Jettyless” LNG terminal in 2017. This innovation marked a turning point for energy distribution, setting new standards for low-impact infrastructure. Since then, we’ve delivered diverse projects globally, offering scalable solutions to energy and maritime clients while building lasting relationships with our employees, partners, and the communities we serve. Today, we’re evolving once again. Our focus is now on delivering complete terminal solutions to help solve the world’s energy challenges. With sustainability at the core, we’re committed to shaping a future where energy infrastructure is smarter, more accessible, and environmentally responsible. Here’s to driving innovation and impact for decades to come! 🌍

  • When you work in an industry with long processes, it’s important to celebrate the milestones along the way 🎉 Celebrating together helps build a strong workplace culture, fostering connection and shared motivation. Today, we did just that – with cake and great company to mark a milestone we’re proud of and excited for 🎂 Curious about what we’re celebrating? Stay tuned, and you’ll hear all about the news later on!
