⚽️ "I can't believe I met Marcus Rashford says Tamim 🦋 with stars in his eyes! When Make-A-Wish Norway granted Tamim's wish over a year ago, it was clear that he wanted to see his favorite team, Manchester United play—alongside his former assistant, Anders Liland. We contacted Bernt Hjørnevik from the Manchester United Supporters' Club, and everything was set for a trip in February 2024. As a teacher, Anders couldn't travel outside of vacation periods. Unfortunately, Tamim fell very ill, and the trip had to be canceled the day before departure. Bernt and the team handled the situation superbly, and when Manchester United decided to play a friendly match against Rosenborg Ballklub plans were made to see them there! That's when Ønsketransporten stepped in! They made the trip possible by driving Tamim from Oslo to Trondheim in an ambulance, allowing him to lie down for most of the journey. Kristin Anderssen postponed her holiday and drove the family. 🦋 Tamim's wish finally came true! He saw Manchester United play, but that's not all—he met all the players! He watched the game from the VIP room and then from the stands, wearing Rashford's jersey—and then met his hero💙. Collaboration is the key to success, in business, and in volunteering! Make-A-Wish Norway could never have fulfilled Tamim's wish without such fantastic collaboration with the Manchester United Scandinavian Supporters' Club, Ønsketransporten, Rosenborg Ballklub, Scandic Lerkendal and all the people behind the scenes🫶. Not to mention the nurses and doctors on Tamim's team at Ullevål Sykehus HF PALBU 😘 Behind this fantastic result is incredible coordination and planning, with many unsung heroes making everything run smoothly. Yesterday Susann Berg from our board had the pleasure of attending and speaking at ICoTA Europe (Intervention & Coiled Tubing Association)'s Annual Scandinavian dinner. Stiftelsen Make-A-Wish Norge was chosen as the charity of the event. Proudly we got 25 000 NOK in support from ICOTA and 50 000 NOK from the attendees 😍 Thank you so much!
