Since the war in Ukraine started, NFM has delivered around 100 000 vest systems with hard ballistic plates to Ukraine. “Red”, a soldier at the front line, credits the NFM vest system with hard ballistic plates for his survival, after he and his team were caught in a life-threatening situation with incoming Russian T72 tanks. THOR™ MCVS Light Weight – Our lightest load-bearing vest yet This year at EUROSATORY 2024, NFM Group launched the new THOR™ Modular Combat Vest System Light Weight (MCVS-LW). The THOR™ MCVS LW shaves off close to 500 grams in comparison to an equal configuration of the MCVS 3.0, offering an exceptional blend of lightness, fit, and functionality, such as: 🛡️Optimal weight-performance ratio: The vest’s low weight does not come at the expense of protection, ensuring optimal performance in the field. 🛡️Modular design: Primarily set up for plate carrier configuration, the MCVS-LW offers the same modularity as the MCVS 3.0, allowing users to customize their loadout as needed. 🛡️Advanced protection: With front and back ballistic protection panels and plates, the MCVS-LW safeguards against high-speed fragments, handgun, and rifle ammunition, protecting vital anatomical structures within the thorax. 🛡️Load bearing capacity: The laser-cut pouch attachment system on the vest’s front, back, and sides ensures efficient load distribution and easy access to mission-critical equipment. 🛡️Enhanced mobility and comfort: The padded shoulder supports distribute pressure evenly, while the front and back comfort pads enhance airflow, reducing moisture buildup and ensuring maximum comfort. 🛡️Quick release mechanism: The slim G-hooks on the shoulders and Tubes® buckles on the sides allow for quick release and easy closing, providing a secure fit that is easy to manage even with gloved hands. 🛡️Field repairability: The waist Tubes® can be easily exchanged by the user without the need for specific tools, ensuring the vest remains functional in the field. Living on a small farm with horses and a large garden, he enjoys pursuing his passion for gardening in his spare time. From the Norwegian Armed Forces to NFM Group With over a year at NFM Group, Hans brings with him nine years of experience from the Norwegian Armed Forces, where he served seven years in the Engineer Battalion at Skjold and Rena, and two years at FLO on Sessvollmoen. As a Financial Controller, Hans plays a crucial role in supporting our CFO by consolidating monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, updating weekly cash flow forecasts, and overseeing R&D project costs and revenues across the NFM Group. Embracing every-day challenges Working in a large and growing company like NFM means that every day brings new challenges and opportunities. "Each day is different, whether it's analysing large Excel files, tracking production developments in Norway, or finding ways to streamline financial reporting." When asked about his favourite NFM product, Hans highlights the HEXA plates, which are specifically designed to better fit female soldiers. "With the increasing number of women in the Norwegian Armed Forces, it's essential to have equipment that accommodates different body types. The HEXA plates play a vital role in this."
