🏆 Last week, DNB hosted the "DNB NXT" conference in Haugesund. This is a conference for the region’s business community and a meeting place for entrepreneurs and investors. Our CEO, Tore Gautesen, presented NOR’s journey up to today and shared plans for growth and global expansion. During the conference, DNB honored NOR as the "Growth Creator 2024," a visible recognition of NOR’s achievements and, importantly, the ripple effects generated by NOR’s activities. The recognition was presented by Irene Høyland Berg from DNB. A few weeks ago, we held a topping-out ceremony for our new building/expansion in Aksdal! 🏢👷🏻♀️ The topping-out ceremony is an old tradition among craftsmen. Historically, it involved workers raising a wreath to the roof ridge when the roof of the house was sealed. The builder was then expected to treat the workers to a celebration within a week after the roof was completed. If the builder failed to keep this promise, the workers would raise a “ridge figure,” a cloth doll, to signal their dissatisfaction. This doll could also be raised if the workers were not pleased with the celebration itself. Our representative from the owner, Gustav Einar Erlingsson Nesse (CFO at NOR), gave an excellent speech, thanking the main contractor Engelsen Bygg AS, all subcontractors, and the architect. The project is progressing well, and so far, there have been no injuries or incidents resulting in sick leave. This has been a challenging construction process since NOR’s operations continue in the building while it undergoes expansion. Our contractors have managed this challenge admirably in collaboration with our team. At NOR, we look forward to moving into the new, state-of-the-art facilities in December. Pizza and cakes were served to all the craftsmen and NOR employees – well deserved!
