This summer, NORBIT had the opportunity to explore more by joining Idaho Power’s river engineering team during a shallow river mapping mission on the Snake River, in Hells Canyon, Idaho. Their team of scientists use a NORBIT system to accurately monitor erosion and fisheries habitats and maintain environmental stewardship of one of the most beautiful places on earth. The Snake River plays a vital role in providing electricity to more than 640,000 Idaho Power customers throughout southern Idaho and eastern Oregon. A healthy Snake River also benefits all other users — irrigators, fishery managers, wildlife and people who enjoy the river for boating, fishing, and other recreational uses. #idahopower #norbitsubsea #sonarsystems #bathymetry

We will be demonstrating our WINGHEAD i80S multibeam echosounder in combination with DCT and NORdredge, as well as the Innomar Sub-Bottom Profiler at Marina da Glória in Rio de Janeiro. Additionally, OPT will showcase their WAM-V USV also equipped with a NORBIT multibeam echosounder. Various vendors’ technology will be available through presentations as well. This event is free.
