🌍The circular economy for plastics and combating littering is crucial. As #INC5 #plastictreaty in Busan takes place this week, we call on governments and stakeholders to push for policy development that fosters circularity, essential to ending plastic pollution globally. The discussions and negotiations need to be fact-based and founded on objective assessments of robust scientific evidence and expert knowledge. Unfortunately, we observe that this is not always the case We’ve share our insights on the "State-of-the-Science on plastic chemicals" from the #PlastChem-project, which was written to guide policy development,. Plastic is a versatile material, essential to modern healthcare. However, to achieve sustainability, we must minimize the disposal of end-of-life products and plastic packaging in landfills or through incineration. The future of a competitive healthcare industry lies in Design for Recycling of medical devices and packaging. Join our colleagues Siri Stabel Olsen and Finn Elbæk Jørgensen for important discussions at the 6th Conference at Nordic Center for Sustainable Healthcare (NCSH) Oct 15th - Malmö.

Exploring new markets and new opportunities, we are excited to venture into Serbia and the regions around. Our dedicated researcher, Tanja Radusin, is returning to her hometown Novi Sad and the Institute of Food Technology - FINS, where she completed her PhD and started her research career. She will be a key note speaker at #foodtech2024 (Oct 16-18) to present the possibilities of use of recycled content behind functional barrier. Tanja is also attending the round table discussion regarding the new #PPWR and EU regulations 1616/2022 on recycled plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with foods. 

We are currently attending the AMI Polyolefin Additives Conference in Barcelona, taking place from October 8-9, 2024. Our colleague, Hany Anwar, is present to explore the international polyolefin market, aiming to optimize performance and enhance sustainability. Please join us for important discussions.
