🥳 Did you know it’s Carbon Removal Day today? Ready to take part? 📣 Yes, today is the world’s first ever Carbon Removal Day, an initiative started by Jack Sullivan and spearheaded by TITO JANKOWSKI - AIRMINER to get everyone – but particularly those outside our own “CDR bubble” – to learn more about the vital role carbon dioxide removal (#CDR) plays in reversing the effects of climate change. ⚠️ You don’t necessarily need to work in CDR to have an impact on the planet. There are things all of us can do, today, to help remove carbon from the atmosphere. 💚 One super easy, fun, and thoughtful way is sending a Thanks a Ton card to someone. Starting at $5, you can purchase a small amount of CDR within 2 clicks. This way you can actively help finance CDR and spread the word about it at the same time! 🙏 I’ve just sent my biomass carbon removal and storage (#BICRS), direct air capture (#DAC), enhanced rock weathering (#ERW), and reforestation cards to four people I admire for their efforts in helping scale CDR: Anna Lerner Nesbitt, Christopher Neidl, Eve Tamme, and Robert Höglund. 🖇 Go and send your personal thanks a ton card here: https://lnkd.in/dKkbDvXj 👩💻 Make sure to also check out the Carbon Removal Day website which has plenty of helpful tools for you to spread the word on this special day: https://lnkd.in/d9mYTHge 🌍 We need to scale CDR thousands of time, as soon as possible. Take action, and spread the word today. #CDRNow #CarbonRemovalDay #carbonremoval

Transforming Environmental Problems into Profits Ladies and gentlemen, Today, we stand at a critical juncture in history, where the urgency to address environmental challenges has never been greater. Climate change, pollution, deforestation, and biodiversity loss threaten our planet's delicate balance, jeopardizing the well-being of current and future generations. But amidst these challenges lies a profound opportunity—one that holds the potential to transform adversity into prosperity. The slogan "Transforming Environmental Problems into Profits" encapsulates this transformative journey. It signifies a paradigm shift—a shift from viewing environmental issues as liabilities to recognizing them as opportunities for innovation, growth, and sustainability. Imagine a world where every environmental challenge is met with creativity and entrepreneurship. Where pollution is not just cleaned up, but transformed into valuable resources. Where renewable energy sources power not only our homes but also our economies. Where sustainable practices not only protect ecosystems but also enhance livelihoods. This vision is not a distant dream; it is within our grasp. By harnessing the power of innovation, technology, and collaboration, we can turn the tide on environmental degradation and build a more prosperous future for all. The key to unlocking this potential lies in aligning economic incentives with environmental stewardship. By incentivizing businesses to adopt sustainable practices, we can create a virtuous cycle where profitability and environmental responsibility go hand in hand. But transforming environmental problems into profits is not just about financial gains. It's about creating value that extends beyond the balance sheet. It's about fostering resilience, enhancing quality of life, and safeguarding the planet for generations to come. This journey requires bold leadership, visionary thinking, and a commitment to collective action. It requires us to challenge conventional wisdom and embrace new ways of doing business. It requires us to prioritize long-term sustainability over short-term gains. But above all, it requires hope—the belief that a better future is possible and that each of us has a role to play in shaping it. So let us rise to the challenge, inspired by the slogan "Transforming Environmental Problems into Profits," and embark on this journey of transformation together. Together, we can create a world where environmental stewardship is not just a moral imperative but also a source of prosperity. Let us seize this opportunity to redefine our relationship with the planet and build a future where people and nature thrive in harmony. Thank you. Claes Richard

Our goal is a world where we all can grow together. As Norwegians, reduced consumption and recycling are part of our blood work—but they are not enough to combat the global challenge of waste. Degrowth strategies, like the ones suggested by the UN Environment Programme, work great for developed economies but can be highly detrimental to the development of the Global South. This is why we searched for tech that can realistically scale in places where the change would have the highest impact—the zone of the equator's forests and rivers. There isn’t one single solution to the global climate problem. This is why we are on a constant search for high-impact ideas, scaling an ecosystem of localised services of climate tech projects and delivering them where they are needed the most. Our vision is a world where, for the first time in the history of humankind, technology and industrialisation can become truly sustainable — for the whole planet. See more in norwegiangreenpower.com

67% of global waste is ‘wasting’ away. Municipal Solid Waste is one of the fastest growing global issues, particularly urgent in low-income regions, and is expected to outpace the population growth by 2050. Decaying, difficult to sort refuse, massively contributes to the warming up of the planet, air and water pollution. With the diverse low-cost tech and business partnerships, our global projects turn this global problem into a profitable solution. • A message from one of our company group, Norwegian Carbon Credits.

It's 21st March 2024, the International Day of Forests, and we have some ideas on how to govern the main resource that stands between us and total ecosystem collapse. We still lose 10 million hectares of global forests every year because the carbon credit system alone is not enough. We improve it by growing a green economy and reinvesting in local communities to protect the forests, their inhabitants, and the whole planet.
