The most profound gift of christmas is being able to help those around you. It embodies the true spirit of Christmas and this is also the reason why all our Orkla Health Units have been given the challenge to engage locally. Orkla Health has employees all the way from Malaysia to Spain, via Poland and the Nordics; all of which have been donating a christmas gift to a local organization of their choice. The donations will help to support more than 12 different organizations, amongst them helping children affected by the war in Ukraine, the reconstruction of flooded areas in Spain, the work of Médecins Sans Frontières, local Poverty Alleviation Organizations, and even the protection of animal welfare. The name becomes you, right? We believe so, proudly announcing that we are changing the names of our traditional Marine Sourcing Facilities from Vesterålen Marine Oil / Lofoten Marine Oil to Orkla Health Ocean. With extended activities and new investments, the time was right to take upon a name that reflects activities rather than location. 🐟 Given the extensive reach across Northern Norway, we needed to reflect our growing presence. Stian Frivåg, Managing Director of Orkla Health Ocean has for recent years been guiding his crew through investments, upgrades and now recently also a merger of two local companies into one. These days he is announcing the merger and the new name locally -and we expect this to be well received. 🪝 Strengthening local production is always good news, and especially to the vast regions of Northern Norway where industry is important for keeping the local communities active. The new name signalizes that our plants will continue to be just as dedicated to oil and cod-liver oil production, but also an expantion to all types of by-products from whitefish. This is all about enhanced utilization of marine proteins and enabling more value creation along the coast of Northern Norway. 🐟 Moving from tradition to innovation, Lofoten Marine Oils and Vesterålen Marine Oil have developed significantly in recent years. Lofoten Marine Oils has collaborated with Möller's Tran since 1972 (!) and has a tradition of producing cod liver oil to as early as 1936. 🐟 Vesterålen Marine Oil began as a hobby project in 2005 in small basement premises in Myre Harbor, and is now the dominant factory of its kind. Engaging with the pharmacies has been an important stepstone for our Swedish organization Orkla Care Sweden, in the re-positioning of #Pharbio. Educating and engaging pharmacy staff has been vital in re-launching Pharbio as a Hero Brand. 💙 The Swedish team has been collaborating with the pharmacy sector for many years. Given their extensive network of professionals, we aimed to include all of them in the relaunch. By inviting Swedish central pharmacy chains to separate meetings at our Orkla Sverige Offices in Stockholm, we were able to engage on a personal level through a series of meetings. Our comprehensive cross-functional team was present to explain the rationale behind the re-launch, spearheaded by Customer Manager Mariz Öhman. By providing accessibility and direct information to address all inquiries, we hope to have fostered both commitment and knowledge about the establishment of a robust and comprehensive brand for omega-3, vitamins and minerals.   💙 As part of the re-launch, a digital live event for all pharmacy staff across Sweden was prioritized. In addition to launching an updated product assortment, Orkla Care Sweden introduced a completely new design and brand identity. This was complemented by a new communication concept that shifted the focus to include more emotional communication.   We have been truly happy to receive positive feedback, and hope to have found a fun and interesting new format to inspire, educate and present. Our Danish superstar Riemann A/S (a Part of Orkla Health) have experienced exceptional growth over the last four years, and were recently awarded the prestigious Børsen Gazelle Award for 2024! 🏆 The honor is given to companies demonstrating outstanding financial performance. Børsen has for the 29 years been mapping Denmarks fastest growing companies. The annual award is based on public accounts and six clear criteria, among other things turnover must increase by at least 100 per cent. Less than 1% of Danish companies achieve this. 🤩 According to Riemann, the accomplishment is the result of a true team effort, with each employee at Riemann playing a critical role. We regret to inform that Isabelle Ducellier has stepped down as CEO for Orkla Health Holding. As a short-term solution, we are very pleased that Orkla Health will be run under the joint leadership of Christian Rykke, Karolina Henriksen and Marit Agner Matheson, Christian will formally replace Isabelle Ducellier as acting CEO. We want to thank Isabelle for all her efforts in building a new Orkla Health and acknowledges her valuable contribution to reposition the organization to the new format and our strong financial results year to date. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors. As we move forward, we’re excited to further develop and strengthen our Consumer Health Organization! 🌏 💚

Yes! We are really proud to have adopted a standalone Sustainability Ambition for Orkla Health. The ambition was recently presented to our employees and provides a clear pathway for unified efforts on how to achieve global sustainability goals. 🌏 As part of the Orkla Group, we are already committed to significant targets, however the Orkla Health ambition also takes into account independent goals with even higher goal attainment. Our net zero plan is a cornerstone in this, and something we are proud to work with. This plan is setting a pathway for how to reach Net-Zero within 2045. 🌏 The ambition is a compilation of small and large sustainability initiatives for people, nature and communities, and the pathway for goal achievement will be an integrated part of our business strategy in the years ahead. 🌏 The plan is targeted to meet the expectations from a broad range of stakeholders including authorities, customers, consumers and employees.    Our Core Sustainability Team, representing different units within Orkla Health are truly proud to finally present the forward-leaning ambition for Orkla Health. The ambition is the footprint we want our business to set the coming years, in line with the Paris Agreement says Line Berg Dørum, Yvonne Törnevik, Natalie Grewe Folge, Jelena Nikolaisen and Are Nakkim – all sitting in the Core Team. 🌏 The ambition is built upon three pillars compiling a complex set of measures and actions in groups towards: 1: How to protect the environment, 2: How to empower people and 3: How to do business in a fair and ethical way. 🌏 In these pillars we both find tasks on further designing our packaging for recycling, increasing the use of recycled and renewable resources, and reducing waste. 170 years! Wow! 🏆 The golden drops of Möller's Cod Liver Oil is being celebrated globally as our Norwegian brand and product marks its 170th anniversary. 🌏 We are truly proud to see our old traditional product, known by heart by so many Scandinavians, garner increasing attention internationally. Möller's Cod Liver Oil is in the midst of a global expansion, now available in over 30 countries. 🌏 The last month Möller's 170-year milestone has been highlighted in the Baltics, Poland, Romania, Taiwan, Turkey, and China. According to Johanna Kosanovic, Global Category Director Omega3 in Orkla Health, the reason for global interest is found in the heritage. The feedback to her teams is that oil is perceived as really unique and different because it is based on raw materials from clean Arctic waters. In fact it is the Norwegian origins and heritage that are perceived as aspirational and appreciated by consumers all over the world. 🌏 Möller's Cod Liver Oil is among the most established and favored brands in Norway. In 1854, pharmacist Peter Möller introduced a groundbreaking method of producing cod liver oil, enhancing both the quality and use of the raw materials. 🌏 We still continue production in his spirit. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at our Barcelona and Bigues Offices in Spain who participated in the first Corporate Volunteering Day within the framework of our EHS week. They all demonstrated such a great commitment and enthusiasm to generating a positive impact in their community by helping in a selfless way. More than 40 people joined the initiative, voluntarily choosing to participate among three solidarity actions: 👵 Accompaniment of the residents of the Granollers Hospital Asylum Foundation, giving unforgettable moments full of affection with those who need it most. 🌲Forest cleaning near the Torre Malla in Parets del Vallés through the Nature School. We believe we make nature breathe a little cleaner, doing our bit for the local environment. 📦 Preparation of shipments of the donations received to the Solidarity centers Hospital San Juan de Dios: Our help was to organize and distribute essential resources for those who need them most.
