🌟 Community Batteries: Unlocking the Full Potential of Pixii BESS 🌟 At Pixii, we’re proud to see our Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) playing a key role in Bondi Beach’s renewable energy journey. Together with Ausgrid and PlusES, we’ve delivered a community battery solution that showcases how excess solar energy can be stored and used to stabilize the grid, reduce energy costs, and even charge electric vehicles (EVs). Why Bondi Beach? Famous for its sun, surf, and sustainability, Bondi Beach generates abundant solar energy. However, much of this energy was going to waste without a way to store and redistribute it. The growing adoption of EVs also highlighted the need for renewable-powered charging infrastructure. The Solution: Community Battery Innovation Pixii’s modular 160kW / 496kWh BESS, installed at Bondi Beach, now captures surplus solar energy from local rooftops and stores it for use during peak times. With an integrated council-operated EV charging station, solar power now fuels Bondi’s green transportation goals.
