Vi tilbyr nå kurs i Klinisk Ferdighetstrening for offshoresykepleiere. Kurset er for sykepleiere som har ansvar for å ivareta helsetjenesten offshore og som i den forbindelse må utføre ferdigheter som på land utføres av lege. Kurset går over 4 dager og vil bestå av undervisning, gruppearbeid og praktisk, individuell medisinsk ferdighetstrening. Dyktige og høyt kvalifiserte spesialister med erfaring fra bl.a luftambulanse, legevakt, Stavanger Universitetssjukehus og offshore, vil stå for undervisningen. This week we had a visit all the way from China!   10 very motivated and well prepared participants from 5 hospitals participated an EU Sim Level 1 course. After the initial course, we spent two days where they were also introduced to the SimBegin® program, the holistic learning approach and the program design strategies. During these two days, we presented the experiences and results from implementation of the program so far and also had interesting discussions about the importance of a sustainable implementation plan for a large simulation program/organisation. We are confident that #SimBegin can facilitate implementation of simulation in daily practice, and we are looking forward to see how the program will develop in China.   Thank you for visiting! 👏 Congratulating May Sissel Vadla! 👏 As a close friend of LGH and researcher whose work has informed the development of Safer Births Bundle of Care - a program equipping birth attendants with the skills and confidence to manage the leading causes of maternal and newborn mortality - we are delighted to share that Dr Vadla has been awarded the '2023 Best PhD Thesis Award' by the international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal Children MDPI. Titled “Simulation-based training and data-guided feedback for neonatal resuscitation in rural Tanzania”, the study showed the translation of improved simulated ventilation skills to improved clinical performance - with a decrease in time from birth to first ventilation. As part of this recognition, Dr Vadla received a monetary prize, which she has decided to use to buy further simulation training equipment to support the simulation centre at Haydom Lutheran Hospital in Tanzania - where her study was based. 👉 You can read her full thesis here: https://lnkd.in/dirqRQKe University of Stavanger SAFER #SaferBirths

At #SESAM2024, we hosted an insightful session about SimBegin, a collaboration between SAFER and Laerdal Medical.  This program aims to build confidence in planning, running  and debriefing scenarios to help organizations: ⭕️  Make it easier to start using simulation. ⭕️  Address the challenges of student to facilitator ratio. ⭕️  Establish sustainable systems for simulation-based training.
