In this edition of #ThePeopleBehindSmartCraft we are in Sweden to talk to Andreas Dewens Lasses who is a Software Engineer.
💬 What do you do and what´s important in your role?
“I am a software engineer, currently working on a project called SmartCraft Spark. I also created, maintain, and update the Tellus API that can be used to fetch real-time emission data for vehicles from several manufacturers.”
💬 As an employee, what´s unique about SmartCraft and what do you value the most in your job?
“Working at SmartCraft is a very challenging and rewarding opportunity. One of the things that I value most at my work (besides my co-workers) is that there is an overarching sense of ambition in everyone I meet. Everyone seems to want the company to succeed and be the best at what we do.”
💬 How does your role contribute to a better day for construction companies?
“As for the SmartCraft Tellus API, there are a lot of use-cases for companies to take the next step towards reaching and maintaining their sustainability goals. My team's main project, SmartCraft Spark, is aiming to digitalize and streamline the complete project workflow for electricians. That, by itself, is a very ambitious goal that I can get behind.”
💬 Do you have any unique skills or fun facts about yourself, at work or private, you would like to share?
“In eighth grade, I held my school's record in both high jump and long jump.”
