🎉 After more than 45 incredible years at Storvik, we are proud to announce that Ola Sande has retired as of August 31, 2024. Starting his journey with us at just 19 years old, Ola quickly rose through the ranks to become the leader of our machining workshop, "Smia." His leadership has played a crucial role in shaping the workshop to meet the demands of evolving technology and customer needs. While Ola has officially stepped into retirement, his legacy and impact on Storvik will last for years to come. We are immensely grateful for his dedication, expertise, and loyalty throughout his career. With operations in Norway, the Czech Republic, Iceland, and the USA, we offer sustainable solutions to reduce operational costs and carbon footprints for clients worldwide. Our four main business areas include project and engineering services, cast products and consumables, machine building and fabrication, and mechanical operations and workshops. We are currently seeking a skilled and engaged Manager for our Project & Engineering department. This key role involves overseeing project and engineering services, ensuring efficient expediting, managing our great engineers, and optimizing logistics operations on a day-to-day basis. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and develop a competent professional environment with a primary focus on the aluminium & process metal industry and other markets such as hydropower, oil & gas, and aquaculture. - Shape the department into a modern commercial engineering environment. - Oversee and manage project timelines, deliveries, and inspections. - Work collaboratively with teams and ensure quality control standards are met. - Travel to various locations for follow-up with suppliers and customers in Norway and internationally. Qualifications: - Strong skills in Expediting and Logistics Management. - Proficiency in Project Management and Inspection. - Experience in coordinating project timelines and deliveries. - Excellent organizational and communication skills. - Knowledge of engineering processes and quality control standards. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. - Proficiency in both Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
