Switch your mindset and go for gold “We need to speed up and scale up solutions to reach our global goal of getting to net-zero by 2050. But we need action, not just pledges.” At a recent TEDxArendal talk, Implement partner, sustainability expert, and Olympic gold medalist Stine Lise Hattestad Bratsberg drew a compelling parallel between elite sports and the major climate challenges we face. With only 23% of European companies on track in their net-zero journey, we are so far off course that it is like “aiming for a gold medal at the Olympics without ever training.” Without a clear plan, Stine cautions, you won’t even qualify, let alone make it to the starting line. In her talk, Stine emphasises the need for action, courage, and cooperation on a global scale. This is no small challenge. More individuals, corporations, and governments must dare to transform challenges into opportunities and recognise that achieving this demands a shift in mindset.
