💡 Last week, the BIM Forum 2024 brought together industry experts, where our colleagues – Marika Rutka and Kristaps Kuznecovs, shared practical recommendations for implementing #BIM and applying standards in daily operations. 🏯 BIM plays a crucial role in the future of the construction industry. From the early stages, UPB Group companies have strategically developed 3D design skills to deliver precise and detailed projects. While implementing BIM requires significant time and additional resources, the benefits are clear – higher quality projects, improved transparency, and more accurate cost control. We thank the BIM Solutions for hosting such a well-planned event.

For years, UPB has supported various #STEM competitions, including the construction contest "Paper Bridges" organized by Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte (Riga Technical University). Seeing the creativity and problem-solving skills of these young minds is inspiring. This year a school-level bridge held an impressive 43.6 kg, while the winning student bridge carried a 99.6 kg load! 👏 In this competition students and schoolchildren compete to build a bridge using only 50 sheets of paper and two glue sticks, aiming to support the heaviest possible load.

🐦 In October, we invited the children of UPB employees to join a contest and create bird feeders from recycled materials. The imagination of our little ones was remarkable —we received over 120 creative entries and are sure the birds will enjoy plenty of treats this winter! 🩶 A big thanks to all the participants for their enthusiasm and impressive projects!
