Urban Sharing powers shared micromobility with fleet management software. 🛴🚲🛵
Om oss
Urban Sharing (www.urbansharing.com) is a technology platform for shared micromobility. This software-as-a-service is a fleet management suite that empowers operators to improve efficiency and increase revenue. Urban Sharing’s software features dynamic tools for managing and optimizing fleet operations, including apps and an admin interface to track and plan vehicle rebalancing, maintenance, and repairs. The platform supports both physical and virtual parking, as well as various types of micromobility including bikes, scooters, mopeds, and small electric vehicles. The Urban Sharing platform can be integrated into existing mobility infrastructure, public transportation systems, and mobility-as-a-service platforms. The service also provides app and web interfaces for riders. The robust platform is built on Google Cloud and was designed with high availability, performance, and scalability in mind. The ‘Migration’ Specialist ↔️ As cities plan the future of bikeshare, one key opportunity stands out: making the most of existing hardware. At Urban Sharing, we see this as an essential step toward achieving sustainability ♻️, cost-efficiency 💰, and seamless operations ⚙️. Our work in cities like Olso and Milan has demonstrated the value of upgrading legacy fleets rather than replacing them entirely. By integrating modern software, these cities have extended the life of their bikeshare systems, delivering benefits to both riders and operators. While there will always be a role for new hardware 🚲, it does not need to come at the expense of what already works. Gradual, strategic upgrades can avoid the waste associated with unnecessary replacements. Moreover, repurposing existing fleets creates opportunities for new operators to enter the market, leveraging established assets to innovate and improve services. This ensures continuity for riders while fostering healthy competition and fresh ideas. As we focus on the future of bikeshare, it is essential to align our strategies with broader sustainability goals . By adopting smarter approaches to hardware integration, cities can reduce costs, lower environmental impact, and set a new standard for shared mobility. Urban Sharing is committed to supporting cities and operators in achieving these outcomes. Together, we can build a more sustainable and efficient future for bikeshare. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eFpMhUXb #bikeshare #micromobility #sharedmobility

Urban Sharing Partners with Pashley Cycles and Berkeley Group Plc to Revolutionize Micromobility in the UK 🚀 🚲 We are thrilled to announce a groundbreaking collaboration with Pashley Cycles and Berkeley Group, introducing an innovative bikeshare service tailored for the Green Quarter community in Southall, London. This initiative marks a significant shift from traditional city-wide tenders, offering a fresh approach to serving UK communities directly. Key Highlights 💡 🤝🏻 Strategic Partnership: Combining Urban Sharing's advanced data and operations platform with Pashley Cycles' bespoke shared bicycles and patented docking systems, we aim to provide seamless and efficient bikesharing solutions. 🧍🧍♀️Community-Centric Approach By focusing on areas beyond the reach of existing transport services, such as the Green Quarter, we are enhancing connectivity and accessibility for residents. 📈 Scalable Model Following the successful launch of 30 bikes in August 2024, there are plans to expand this model across various Berkeley Group developments nationwide, addressing transport needs in underserved areas. Kristian Brink, CEO of Urban Sharing, emphasizes, "This is a new route for micromobility operators to serve UK communities directly and connect areas of the city that have limited transport options." We are excited about the potential of this partnership to transform urban mobility and look forward to extending our services to more communities in the near future. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/exG3m5Jw #Micromobility #UrbanMobility #CommunityTransport #ActiveTransport

The team have been working hard to bring Urban Crew V2.0 to the market 💻 This isn't a simple feature release or functionality update... This is a brand new product that takes our former experience as a #sharedmobility operator, feedback from our existing customers and a deep dive with leading industry players to understand what they really want from an on-street operations tool. Check out the benefits for the various stakeholders below...
Urban Sharing launched a full product rewrite of its ‘Urban Crew’ task-based fleet optimisation tool this month which supports shared micromobility operators with on-street operations. Today, we explore the benefits Version 2.0 brings for the operator, rider and city. Built by a former operator for operators, Urban Crew aims to increase operational efficiency by incorporating Service Level Agreements and local knowledge into the platform. This means advanced algorithms and task priorities can be customised according to an operator’s goals, which streamlines redistribution, maintenance and battery management of vehicles. Urban Crew also allows operators to use the same truck to carry out multiple tasks for multiple vehicle types - bikes, ebikes, and scooters. The platform can use multiple feeds from different operators and combines systems and tasks for third party logistics providers. Rather than using a black box, the data can be exported via API. For the rider, operational efficiency means improved vehicle availability of fully charged, cleanly maintained vehicles. Zag is told that no training time is needed to use Urban Crew, and the platform can be launched in three days. For cities, the platform aims to support the modal shift to micromobility by demonstrating the ease of managing a bikeshare system. Cities can benefit from enhanced connectivity and supply at key locations like transportation hubs and places of interest. Read more: https://lnkd.in/eMxQcKHd

Urban Sharing will launch Version 2.0 of its new task-based fleet optimisation platform next month to support shared micromobility operators with on-street operations. Whether it is rebalancing, battery charging or maintenance tasks, the ‘Urban Crew’ app and Control Center are built for suggesting the best possible operational solutions based on historical and real-time data. “Shared micromobility operators face the daunting task of juggling numerous operational challenges,” Urban Sharing’s Chief Revenue Officer Tom Nutley told Zag Daily. “Urban Crew offers a comprehensive solution with a unified interface, leveraging key data points, local operator knowledge, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to enable field teams and operations managers to efficiently oversee, manage, and automate their tasks. This ensures SLAs are met, resources are optimised, and users have access to functional vehicles precisely when and where they need them.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/eMxQcKHd
