We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Ewa Grecka as the new CEO of Varier. With extensive experience in the finance field, Ewa joined Varier as CFO earlier this year and has quickly made an impact. Her strong leadership skills, strategic mindset, and deep passion for our products make her the perfect fit to guide Varier into its next chapter. We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Leif for his dedicated leadership and everything he’s accomplished during his time at Varier. His efforts have set us up for continued growth, and we’re truly grateful. Please join us in welcoming Ewa as she steps into this new role and in thanking Leif for his remarkable tenure!

Looking back on an incredible weekend in Paris! We were thrilled to be part of the Et hjem / Chez soi exhibition at Musée d’Orsay, where we showcased Ekstrem alongside a range of other Norwegian designs. The exhibition, set in the historic Le Fumoir, was a beautiful celebration of Norwegian design’s minimalist beauty, rooted in sustainability, craftsmanship, and a deep connection to nature. A big thank you to Kirsten Visdal, Cecilie Jørgensen, DOGA Norway, Norwegian Presence, and the Norwegian Embassy in France for including us in this amazing event!

This weekend, 22–24 November, we’ll be at the Musée d’Orsay in Paris, joining an exhibition of Norwegian furniture design. Et hjem / Chez soi, beautifully curated by Kirsten Visdal, aims to cultivate a space for dialogue, connection, and reflection—a place to unwind. A place to show your true colours. A home. We hope to see you there!

It is with great sorrow that we received the news of Peter Opsvik's passing. A visionary and a pioneer, his work has touched and positively impacted the lives of so many. Peter’s philosophy and unparalleled approach to sitting are at the very core of what we do at Varier. It was always inspiring discussing new ideas and refining the existing with Peter. It is with great reverence that we continue to work with his groundbreaking designs, championing an alternative way to sit. His vigor, passion, and unwavering commitment will be deeply missed. Our thoughts are with Peter's family and loved ones at this time.
