OUR PEOPLE – Meet our new colleagues at the chartering department 👋⭐ We enter December by presenting two of our newest colleagues in the chartering department, Marit Fosse (28) and Fredrik Rieber Lensberg (37). Both Marit and Fredrik have several years' experience in the shipping industry, and we are fortunate to have captured these two dedicated and competent brokers for our chartering department. “The shipping industry excites me in many different ways. The interaction between people, making friends and long-lasting relationships is a motivation in itself. Secondly, it’s fascinating to see market changes and keeping your finger on the pulse of the global economy. Moreover, the shipping industry is the backbone of all global trade, and without the players in this industry, the lives we live would be completely different”, Fredrik explains. “I am looking forward to work together with all my great new colleagues in Wilson. It’s impressive how a company of this size is still able to be agile and dynamic, with ownership to the daily tasks in all departments and business units. My impression so far is definitely very positive”, he adds. Marit explains that she finds the shipping industry incredibly dynamic and engaging, particularly due to its international scope. “The opportunity to connect with people from various cultures enriches my professional experience. Additionally, I am fascinated by the sector's ongoing evolution, especially as it moves towards more sustainable practices”, Marit tells. “I am most excited about the opportunity to work on the owner side, gaining insights into how things function from this perspective. This role offers a chance to connect with new colleagues and collaborate across departments, allowing me to explore a new segment and engage with diverse clients, which I find very interesting. I also look forward to being part of an organization with a strong in-house culture, surrounded by talented professionals. Contributing to and growing within this dynamic environment is something I am eager to embrace”, she adds. Welcome to the Wilson family, Marit and Fredrik! 🤝 #wilsonpeople #ShippingIndustry #wilsonship #wilsonteam #Bergen #wilson #wilsonshipping #shortseashipping

WINTER SEASON: As we now are entering the winter season, we are also entering the most challenging season for the shipping industry. Winter weather can make significant impact, especially in colder regions where ice and snow are common. Harsh winter conditions, such as freezing temperatures, heavy snowfall, and icy seas, can present challenges for our shipping routes. Always being close is one of our greatest strengths. We always have several vessels in these areas which makes it possible to assist when bad weather occurs. Luckily the winter season can also be a fantastic season at sea. Thank you for sharing this fantastic photo of Wilson Dublin, Roy Balvert 📸
