“A majority of Floridians, like most voters nationwide, support repealing our failed marijuana prohibition laws and replacing them with a system of legalization and regulation. This is a long-overdue opportunity for them to finally make their voice heard where it matters — at the ballot box.”
“Cannabis legalization is an issue that unites Democrats, Republicans, and Independents,” NORML’s Deputy Director Paul Armentano said. “It is imperative that elected officials respect the voters’ decision and implement this measure in a manner that is consistent with the sentiments of the majority of the electorate.”
If enacted by Ohio’s voters on Election Day (November 7th), the possession of marijuana will become legal for adults on December 7th.
The initiative seeks to end arrests and citations for adults who possess misdemeanor amounts of cannabis within the city’s limits.

If passed, Ohio will be the 24th state to legalize the adult-use marijuana market, and the 14th do so by a public vote.
