As the weather heats up into summer, now's the time to ensure your young tree investments are protected. TreeSip’s slow release design ensures deep water saturation for deep root growth during tree establishment, and efficient watering during dry summers and drought conditions. Manufactured with a 5 year UV rating for harsh NZ conditions, the durable TreeSip bag raises the bar above low quality imported versions. With a 75 litre capacity, TreeSip is ideal for regions with sandy soils where other options, such as polymer water wells, may not be as effective. TreeSip watering bags wrap around tree trunk and zip up the back. For larger trees, 2 bags can be zipped together. When these homeowners moved to Stephneyville in Tasman, they envisioned a peaceful coastal retirement, but the August 2022 Nelson Flood changed everything. After a devastating slip, their backyard was left vulnerable to erosion. Determined to reclaim their property and prevent future damage, they turned to a sustainable solution: the FlexMSE system. With a sloped section and limited access to site, alternative solutions would have required costly measures, like helicoptering in supplies. FlexMSE offered a more practical, cost-effective option. By collaborating with contractors, they repurposed displaced soil from the slip to fill FlexMSE bags on-site, reducing waste and lowering their environmental impact. They also carefully selected native plants, such as Climbing Fig, Virginia Creeper, Fuchsia Procumbens, and Bronze Rambler, which not only added beauty but also enhanced the wall’s stability by intertwining their roots with the FlexMSE structure to anchor the soil. 🏵️ The result will become a resilient, lush retaining wall that blends seamlessly with the landscape, transforming their backyard into a picturesque space built to stand the test of time. #flexmse #backtonature #retainingwalls #erosioncontrol #advancelandscapesystems #greenyourworld

🌱 Last week, one of our team members had the pleasure of visiting Ayrburn near Queenstown and was truly impressed by the incredible regeneration of native plants taking root alongside stunning flower gardens. We’re thrilled to support this thriving ecosystem by providing our reusable and recyclable Tree Tube plant protection and biodegradable Fiberguards, along with our Emperor bamboo, ensuring these native plants and trees flourish in an area known for its pests. Ayrburn, established over 160 years ago by Scottish-born William Paterson, was one of the first farms in the region, flourishing against the backdrop of beauty and opportunity. With its rich history and picturesque landscapes, Ayrburn is a treasure waiting to be explored—well worth a visit! 🌼✨ #ayrburn #nativeplanting #landscaping #regeneration #plantprotection #advancelandscapesystems #greenyourworld

Our Sales Manager, Greg Suckling, was thrilled to capture a snapshot of our KBC Willow & Poplar Sleeves in situ during our recent visit to the Hawke's Bay! It’s incredible to see our products supporting and sustaining trees and plants in such beautiful surroundings. These twin-walled, rigid tree shelter tubes offer premium protection against pests and livestock, including possums, sheep, cattle, and deer. Made from UV-stabilised recycled plastic, our sleeves are not only durable but also fully recyclable through our ‘Plant Guard to Post Recycling Scheme.’ Here are some benefits of our poplar pole sleeves: ✅Flared Rims: Minimise stem abrasion as trees grow. ✅Photomorphogenesis: The green color allows the right balance of light wavelengths to be absorbed, promoting healthy growth. ✅Multiple Sizes: Available in 1.2m, 1.7m, and 2m lengths, ensuring a perfect fit for your needs. ✅Long-lasting Protection: Premium defense against stock and pest damage for up to 5 years. ✅Moisture Management: Reduces moisture loss during dry months and deflects erosion debris during floods. #kbcwillowandpoplar #treeprotection #sustainableforestry #hawkesbay #ecofriendly #plantguardtopost #sustainabilityinaction #greenyourworld

🌱 We're in the thick of planting season, and protecting our green investments is more important than ever! Check out our latest installation video on YouTube, where Carrie Suckling shows you how to set up our reusable CombiShield plant protection. These square plant guards are perfect for smaller natives, shielding them from sprays, the elements, and those pesky rabbits! 🐇 As part of our 'Plant Guard to Post' Program, we encourage you to return your used plastic guards to one of our branches for recycling into fence posts by Future Post . This year alone, we've recycled over 1.5 tonnes of used guards, contributing to a circular process that reflects our commitment to sustainable plant protection. Where biodegradable options aren't practical, we've partnered with another NZ company to create effective solutions. 💚✨ #plantingseason #sustainablepractices #protectournatives #recycle #futurepost #earthfriendly #advancelandscapesystems #greenyourworld

Accessibility meets Sustainability 🤝 At the stunning Maniora Drive Walkway in Katikati, local Council faced a challenge with an accessibility barrier—steep steps that restricted access for many. The FlexMSE Vegetated wall system was chosen as a solution for this challenge, showcasing its ability to adapt to any shape, angle, or environment. The previous steep stairs have been transformed into a gently curving ramp, promoting inclusivity for everyone. The thoughtful design includes a handrail for added safety, and plans are in place to plant out the bags with native plantings that will blend #backtonature with the surrounding native bush and stream. By utilising over 200 engineered FlexMSE bags, an exceptional installation by Outer Spaces Landscaping in Waihi means the ramp not only offers exceptional durability, but also seamlessly integrates with the natural landscape, reducing the steepness and allowing all visitors to enjoy the scenic route. #flexmse #retainingwall #backtonature #durable #accessibility #sustainability #advancelandscapesystems #greenyourworld

🌱 It’s the middle of planting season, and one of the key questions we hear is: What plant guard is right for my project? Here are three key points to consider: ❎Identify Local Threats: Different regions face unique pests and challenges. For example, if you’re in Central Otago, rabbits are notorious for munching on seedlings, while in the North Island, you might battle the sharp-beaked pukeko. Understanding your local wildlife and their habits can help you select a guard that effectively prevents damage. ➡️Consider Weather Conditions: The environment plays a significant role in plant growth and protection. If you live in a windy area, opt for a durable guard that can withstand strong gusts, possibly reinforced with extra stakes. For regions with intense sunlight, look for guards that allow airflow or provide shade. It’s crucial to select a guard designed to hold up against the specific weather challenges you face, as this can significantly affect the longevity and health of your plants. ✅Choose the Right Size & Type: Plant guards come in various sizes and materials, from biodegradable options to reusable plastic. Make sure to match the guard to the size of your plants for optimal protection. Additionally, consider your budget—biodegradable guards may save you time on cleanup later, while reusable options can be more cost-effective in the long run. Weigh the upfront costs against potential long-term benefits to make a smart investment in your planting project. Our team is here to point you in the right direction to ensure your plants thrive this spring! 🌼✨ #plantprotection #springplanting #greeninvestment #fiberguard #advancelandscapesystems #greenyourworld
