AquaFire started a partnership with Massey University Auckland in March 2024 by providing a comprehensive assessment of the 350 units of HOFFE (hand operating fire fighting equipment), sharing some expert advice and providing general recommendations on improvements. Heke Rua Archives update for August 2024. (Another very Building Services specific update). 1. Handed over L3 - with Shelving, Services installation is complete. 2. NZData | NZSecurity | NZNursecall | NZAudioVisual subfloor cable pull for the L7 AV computer room almost complete. 3. AquaFire's sprinkler tank room is almost complete with livening to the pumps and filling the 90,000L water tank. Looking forwards to getting water up through the building. 4. L4 shelving installation is almost complete. Currently in preparation to hand over this floor. 5. Airlab commissioning is underway on L5, witnessed with NDY. 6. L5 lights are on - big shout out to NME Group. Ahead of programme and completing the tidy install. 7. L7 lighting underway. 8. AV Studio DBs being cabled. Each AV Studio has its own DB. 9 & 10. NME Group installing their pipework for the External Plantroom on L8. Working through the final install for the 5 Plantrooms on the project. 11. The Asmuss Office and Warehouse is the first building in the country to achieve a 5 Green Star design rating under the New Zealand Green Building Council’s (NZGBC) v1.1 guidelines. Achieving this rating reflects our commitment to environmental sustainability and highlights the innovative design and construction practices employed throughout the project. AquaFire designed, installed, and commissioned the Fire Alarm systems on time, on budget, and compliant. The project was won by Estimating team, led by Greg Cooke and delivered by the install team, led by Dan Norton. At Wellington’s Toolbox talk last week, our own Isiah Kiwha was presented with his certificate for completing his NZ Apprenticeship in Fire Detection and Alarm Systems, Level 4. With Izzy are Malcolm Pearce from Competenz, Kerry Moloney of Aquaheat who leads the Apprentice Program and our Central Regional Manager for AquaFire, Tony Wilson.
